Answer:	Their was an application in the app store that you have to download, I can't remember what is was called. But without this app. It will not work. I would write to amazon or the manufacturers to see what the name of the application is. I since sold mine.

Answer:	It came with a small disc that kept falling out of the vertically oriented tray of my reader. After the purchase I received an email from the seller with the software so I trusted the source and downloaded to a desktop that has only windows defender to protect it. It took a bit of patience and a couple of failed attempts before I was able to use the scope with their software. Do yourself a favor and buy a sturdy stand for the microscope. The base that came with the microscope kept falling over when i tried to set it. The scope itself is sensitive and gives great image detail.

Answer:	You can use slides for viewing of materials. There are three sample slides included containing Dragon Fly wings and legs. I think the magnification would allow you to see parasites in this instance as long as you are not looking for microscopic cell level bacteria.

Answer:	I don’t believe it’s possible to get 1000x. I’ve used true compound microscopes. I have not managed to see things at the cellular level with this thing. I think it might get up to a moderate magnification and then count 2x digital zoom. I mean, you could put this on a tv screen so of course it might magnify 1000x in that sense, but you can’t get the sharp focus of a real microscope or see things not visible with a good hand lens.

Question:	How come your main picture for this product has it directly connected to an iphone if it can't connect to an iphone
Answer:	Possibly. The one weakness are the tips, they’re so fine that it’s actually difficult at times to grab anything with any resistance to it. That and the fact you might actually prick yourself as they are quite pointed. It’s one or the other, you have to select between the curved or straight style. The picture just demonstrates the styles available, but they are sold individually. They are excellent for their intended use, for slivers I would probably stick to tweezers with more contact surface.

Answer:	I use it to look at coins. At the smallest magnification, a half dollar pretty well fills the field of view. It obviously can really magnify in a much greater degree. The seller is wonderful to deal with. Replaced a device that wasn’t working completely, for me.
Question:	How many megapixels? And why does it not say in the description
Answer:	I dont notice a difference, unless maybe the jiusion has a better battery. The Cainda works best when plugged into an external usb battery, without external power it drops connection at a frustrating rate. With power I have loved it. Great pics, easy to use, and it staid connected allowing for a lot of fun do micro photography outside.

Answer:	No, it probably maxes out between 50 and 200X magnification. At 1000X magnification, you would need to immerse the light path in oil to prevent refraction of light causing blurring of the image. You would also be able to see bacterial cells at that magnification, and none of the review images come remotely close to displaying that level of magnifying power.

Answer:	MANUFACTURER RESPONSE: No OTG cable is necessary for the Nexus 5x. This is only needed for Micro USB devices. Question:	I want to see trichomes turn from clear to amber and be able to take still pictures of it happening , could this product help do that
Answer:	That's probably on the edge of what this thing can do. I used it to enlarge parts of insects, which it did very well, especially when I projected it onto my Smartboard. However, you are talking about something an order of magnitude smaller than that. Likely you could see it, but it would not some close to filling the screen.
Question:	Is this good for looking at teh cannabis trichomes
Answer:	You must mean THE trichomes As the amount of trichomes covering your plant increases, you should take a closer look at them, maintaining a light touch to avoid crushing the resin glands. Your best bet is to purchase an inexpensive 25x microscope and most (Use search for this .. pocket microscopes) pocket microscopes have a small light to help you get an illuminated peek at your trichome development. So, when you cut small buds from your plant to test them, you want to concentrate on the stalked glandular trichomes. The coloration of the gland heads can vary with different strains and maturity, but most start with clear or slightly amber heads that gradually become cloudy or opaque when THC levels have peaked and are beginning to degrade. Regardless of the initial color of the trichomes, with careful observation you should be able to see a change in coloration as maturity levels off. Some cultivators wait for about half of the trichomes to go opaque before harvesting to ensure maximum THC levels in the finished product. However, you will also want to try samples at various stages to see what is best for you. While you may be increasing the total THC level in the cannabis by allowing half of the glands to go opaque, there will also be a larger percentage of CBN, which is why some people choose to harvest earlier while most of the trichomes are still clear.So the short answer to your question is?? Answer:	It's all digital and it depends on your monitor size. To determine the magnification, take a photo of the base board while push the microscope down against it. Measure the distance between 2 grid lines on the screen. The ratio between that measurement (on the screen) and distance between 2 grid lines on the base board is the magnification. To get the best magnification out of it, set the Digital Viewer resolution to 1600 X 1200 and then read the photo from file folder after the photo is taken and measure the distance between 2 lines. I get 60X magnification on my 23" monitor. If you have 100" monitor, you may get 250X magnification.
