Answer:	The rare earth magnet breach, as seen on YouTube, only applied to one style of electronic fire safes. Since this video aired, we have offered to send each owner a redesigned replacement part to defend against this breach. We have also redesigned the safe during production, with these new redesigned parts. Regarding combination dial lock safes, this is an entirely different design with parts that are all mechanical, and cannot be breached with magnets. Thank you.

Question:	Is there a moisture/mold problem with these honeywell fire/water chests? i'm seeing a lot of complaints in the reviews
Answer:	We have been using one in Portland Oregon for about six months and have never had any problem with mold or mustiness in any safe we've used over the past 30 years. Today, I opened this safe for the first time in a few months, greeted by the smell of mildew. We do use a small dessicant packet inside, and the average humidity in our home hovers around 45%. We will need to arrange either a better dessicant or a different safe!
Question:	All 3 of the product specs have different sizes. Can someone tell me the exact outside dimensions by height, width, and depth including the lock
Answer:	From left to right when facing the lock and latches the width is exactly 12 3/8". From front to back, the depth is 9 7/8" for the box but including the silver lock cylinder which protrudes out the front add an extra 1/4" so a full 10 1/8". This does not include any space for inserting the key or opening the top of the box which needs additional space as the top swings up. The height of the box when closed is 7 1/4". Answer:	Unfortunately, this safe is only an anti-theft unit. It is not rated for fire or water.
Question:	Are these truly waterproof
Answer:	No you can't. That is one of the many issues I have with it. I wouldn't recommend buying. The key pad is loud. The faceplate is made of cheap plastic. The battery compartment is also plastic and broke the first time I opened it to place the batteries in. The outside bottom portion has no cushion and it isn't smooth so it will scratch a desk, nightstand or whatever you place the safe on.

Question:	Will it hold a 1" notebook
Answer:	Yes, depending on the size of the notebook (internally the free space measures 10.25 by 12.17 by 8.58 inches). The box must also be used regularly or the lid left open. If left closed for an extended period of time (few months), desiccant packages should be added inside, or within the box moisture will collect, and your notebook will grow mold :(

Answer:	I would think yes. I do not have a mold problem with mine.

Answer:	The lock is not the best feature of this safe. A screwdriver could open it . The safe is water tight and fire proof, that why I bought it.

Answer:	We had the smaller of these waterproof First Alert Fire safes -- 2017F, .19 cu ft. -- and, it saved ALL of our difficult to replace/impossible to replace documents, DVDs of our home and contents and other small articles that I'd carefully stored in it for @ 10 years! Our home burned to the ground, but, the next day, a firefighter waded through and cleared debris to the concrete "well" I'd designed into the pantry in our home to receive a large fire-water safe. One of THE BEST steps/decisions ever made, as the fire, the insurance haggling, the shock...were all horrific and, not being able to readily put our hands on such items would have added to the pain, incredibly!Recommend, definitely, that you initially put desiccant packs into any such fire-water safe and then check contents once-twice/year. As it was with our smaller First Alert case, molds did grow, but I monitored and replaced desiccants at least once/year. Know molds would certainly have grown more easily; as it was, there was some mold. Don't understand quite how/if there was innate moisture in various papers (??) when put into safe. Anyway, no reason not to use desiccants -- and, check/replace as needed. I did, and am so very grateful!

Answer:	I'm going to have to say yes. Mine was damaged just by shipping requiring me to send it back and get a replacement.

Answer:	Mine came without keys too, nothing fun about picking your own lock to get something opened and then order another set of keys for it. Plus, the flimsy plastic latches broke and they wouldn't replace them or sell me the parts, claimed its a "special" construction... aka roll pins on the latches to the box, nothing hard or fancy. Not impressed with the box or the customer service.
