Answer:	The instructions that come with the unit duplicate what I have read from several Fire Department sources: you can place your unit on the ceiling, but AT LEAST 4 inches (10cm) from the wall. If you want to mount it on the wall, mount it MORE THAN 4 inches (10cm) BELOW the ceiling, but NO LOWER than12 inches (30cm) below the ceiling. It has to be high enough up the wall to "smell" the smoke, but that 4 x 4 inch (10cm x 10cm) area where the wall meets the ceiling can sometimes harbor a "dead zone" of still air where the smoke would NOT reach the detector quickly enough during a fire to warn you in time. Thus, do NOT mount your detectors too close to where the wall meets the ceiling.

Question:	When I unplug this device the green light goes off even though the batteries are installed as a backup. Is that normal
Answer:	It's about 5 1/2 in from hinge to hinge ~ 14.5 cm. It does provide full cover. The foam is flush with my face without being uncomfortable. It however is not waterproof. The foam has air slots so it can breathe. I've used these for Chemistry lab as well as wood working, and they work great.
Question:	When I try put battery in or plug it in, the alarm goes off! Does that alarm sound stop? It's brand new
Answer:	They stay on surprisingly well! I use them for my dog grooming business. They are light weight so that works good for me. They might be a bit too light for sports. If you got hit with a ball they would probably crack and potentially cut you.

Answer:	When I used the digital gas detector to test it worked fine.

Answer:	There are two possible causes. The unit was not zeroed out upon activation or you do have a very low level of gas in your home atmosphere, with the first being my best guess. Unplug and move and re-check the reading. If this does not resolve the issue send it back for a new one. Mine has worked well for 6 months so far.
Question:	Why is the 2 pack more than 2 times the price of the single detector
Answer:	I returned these detectors. They don't have any information printed on the case - no manufacturer name, no instructions, no UL approved indicator, etc. These were made in China which is usually okay but I am not comfortable in relying on them to protect my family. I will be researching further and looking for better detectors that can be trusted.

Answer:	I’m assuming you are asking if one detector will detect carbon monoxide throughout your entire house. I have two for that purpose. One close to each source of possible carbon monoxide leaks (my propane gas fireplaces). If you have a leak, the beep is so loud, you will hear that from anywhere in your house.

Simply add two values of consumed Amps of the monitor-player and the monitor and if the answer will be less than 3 Amp, this power adapter will work for you. If the spec does not provide Amperage consumption, you may use the formula Power (Watt) = Voltage (Volt) * Current (Amp). I hope this helps. The Voltage, in this case, is 5 Volts

Answer:	Don't worry, it's normal, the large moisture change can affect the sensor performance, and may lead to false alarm, but the data on display only switch to 1,2 or 3, but won;t trigger the voice and light alarm. Answer:	When the alarms are going off, there is always one that is going off and setting off all of the others. WIth the P4010 wireless alarms, that originating alarm setting off all of the others will have a green light flashing every second while all of the alarms are going off. This will be the alarm you will want to HUSH. This is done intentionally so that you will examine the area where the alarm is before you hush the alarm and the system. These alarms also have a locate feature on them. From the owner's manual: In an interconnected system (all units will be alarming together), a unit that detects smoke or CO and initiates an alarm is called the “initiating alarm unit.” Initiating alarm units will be flashing the Green LED every second during alarm. Depending on unit locations, and the location of the source of smoke or CO, it is possible to have more than one initiating unit. If you suspect a nuisance alarm situation, you can use this feature to help you locate the initiating alarm unit(s) in a wireless alarm interconnect system. Answer:	I doubt this product will work on sewer gas. I have found that basement floor drain, sink, or even washer machine drains that have not been used for extended time tends to have the water in the "P" trap evaporates allowing sewage gas to enter the room. Pour a quart of water into the drain to refill the P trap. Good luck.
