Question:	What specification of nfc card do these locks use? i have some other cards that i would like to repurpose for this lock
Answer:	It is compatible with at least some some Chamberlain openers. Liftmaster and Chamberlain are the same company. To know if yours is compatible the two requirements are for it to have the shield symbol on the cover and for there to be two lock connectors on the unit next to the up and down adjustment buttons. I have the Chamberlain B1381 and it is compatible.
Question:	Can this be used with my current keys
Answer:	Yes it is. I purchased the B1381 in Dec 2019 and it has the security shield symbol on the cover ( it is a shield with half light and half dark divided diagonally). It also has two lock connectors on the unit next to the up and down adjustment buttons close to where you connect the wires for the sensors and control panel and the WiFi learn button. Since it has two lock connectors if you want you can connect two of these locks, one on each side of your door.

Question:	Does the keypad light up
Answer:	Press the "House" button on the lower left hand side of the keypad and it will light up without entering a number.
Question:	Lock/Unlock log? I don't see if this keeps a log of who has used their access code. Does it keep a log
Answer:	The history log is at the bottom of the Schlage Home app page. It records "how" the lock was operated--even if you NEVER add user codes different from the default codes. Using the inside lever causes these history log entries: Locked by Thumbturn (time and date) Unlocked by Thumbturn (time and date) Locking by pushing the lock symbol on the touchscreen causes this entry: Locked by Touchscreen (time and date) When I use the Schalge Home app to lock and unlock, history shows cause these entries: Locked by Bill (time and date) Unlocked by Bill (time and date) IF YOU ADD USER CODES, the default codes (under the battery cover) stop functioning. Since I named a custom code "Primary", using it to unlock causes this history entry: Unlocked by Primary (time and date) see less
Question:	If I have a power outage will a pre programed code still work
Answer:	Yes. It operates on batteries. However, you will not be able to use the app to access the lock during a power outage as your wifi will most likely be off too. Power being out does not effect the normal lock/unlock functionality.
Question:	Does it have auto-lock function
Answer:	It's probably confusing when you get both yes and no answers! I just installed the lock. There are two apps used to control it. Amazon Key and Schlange Home. It's a bit confusing, but you'll want both. Both apps have an Auto Lock setting. You can select 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes or 4 minutes. Navigating the apps is not obvious. For Amazon Key, go to "Settings" in the main menu, select the lock name (Encode if you didn't change it) and look for Auto Relock. In Schlange App, use the settings icon at the bottom of the page (using iOS; not sure about Android); choose "Auto Lock Delay". Hope this helps.

Question:	Can it be used on an outdoor gate
Answer:	I have mine on outside gate and went thru one day of rain so far, no problem.
Question:	Does the Gateway have to be hardwired to the Wi-Fi router
Answer:	The gateway is ZigBee and not Bluetooth as the other person said. You can have the gateway up to 50 feet away from the lock and it will work. No the gateway isn't hardwired to the router.
Question:	Can i paint this ? (blk
Answer:	The simple answer is that you can paint anything with the right primer. I really don't see why you couldn't paint this as long as you didn't let the paint bind the thumb mechanism. I would point out that the thumb hold will get a lot of wear & the paint may not last. If you are considering the (separate) keypad, be aware that this would be a much trickier task.
Question:	How I can unlock if I forgot my phone inside home and walked outside and door get autolocked
Answer:	You still have the ability to unlock the door with the keys to the deadbolt.
