Answer:	It depends on your model. My Canon Digital Rebel was purchased in 2005 ($1,000 ). My daughter ended up buying hers (refurbished) directly from Canon within about 5 years, and hers takes the smaller card. It also has a different battery and battery charger. You should be able to open your card slot compartment and tell what size card it takes. If not, look up your model number, etc. or call Canon; they are usually congenial when it comes to Customer Service.
