Answer:	Don't try pairing as a smart light. Go under set up a device then security devices and scroll down to "works with ring". That will walk you through pairing. I just did it with GE 14291
Question:	Is this comparable with turning on and off mutable lights? I have 2 switches controlling 2 lights
Answer:	This model is specifically designed to replace a standard light switch in a residential home. It is 3-way compatible, to work with a GE add-on switch so the 2 of them together can replace 2 light switches and both control the same light(s).
Question:	Is there an led indicator on the switch itself when it's in on/off
Answer:	Yes, there is an LED indicator light on the bottom right hand corner of the switch. It is default set for the LED indicator to be On, when the connected light is turned off. This allow the switch to be found in the dark. You can also change the LED light by pressing 3 times up, and 1 time down quickly to cycle between 3 other options (LED ON when Connected Light is ON, LED always off, LED always on) You can see details of these 4 options in the instruction manual.
Question:	Will this work as part of a 3-way switch
Answer:	Yes, you will need This GE 46201 and the GE 46199 Add-On Switch to replace the 2 switches in the 3-way installation.

Question:	Will this work without a ground wire? Just have the hot and neutral wire, no ground older house. Current switches work fine, tried 2 and neither work
Answer:	According to Lutron, they’re exactly the same in every way (including packaging) but are differentiated by “where they are sold”. Not 100% sure, but seems to be Canadian vs American. Question:	Does this work with aluminum wiring
Answer:	I installed this switch in a box with 3 other switches (4 total). If I remember correctly, there are 1/8th inch or so wide "break-off" tabs on both sides of the switch that when bent back and forth and broken off, will result in more narrow width profile, that allows more room for the other switchs.
Question:	Will this work with a dual switch cover plate? Could I fit two beside each other under a standard two switch plate
Answer:	Any port can be used for internet access, but you will need a modem and an Internet Service provider connection. This is not a PoE switch, so the ports do not provide power.
Question:	Does it matter which wire goes to the line connector and which goes to the traveler? Black on the line and red on the traveler didn't work

Question:	Is this light switch compatible with LED light bulbs
Answer:	Yes, these fit in the same spot as a single standard switch and you can put as many side by side in standard dual, triple, etc. gang boxes.
Question:	What’s the difference between the 3-way and single pole option
Answer:	In a 3-way installation, you will need the instruction manual from the GE Add-on Switch (model 12723 or 46199) for wiring the primary and add-on switch. It matters which side of the 3-way (Line side or load side) you wire the primary switch because it will change how you have to wire it. We recommend to contact our technical support line at 800.654.8483 for assistance with our manual, or contact a qualified licensed electrician if you continue to have trouble.
Question:	Is it comfortable
Answer:	This product can be used to dim xenon style lamps if they are the filament style xenon products. If not, then Lutron would recommend reaching out to the manufacture to check with them on what control they recommend to use with their lamp.
Question:	how do i know which screw is for the black and red wire
Answer:	The switch you are trying to replace is a four way. There is not any dimmer capable of replacing that switch. If you install the dimmer you have at either of the other 2 switches that control the same light it will work fine. The other 2 switches are 3 way switches. They will have 3 wires going to them.

Question:	Can this control fan and it's speed? I currently have a fan toggle switch which has a tine slider underneath, can I replace it with this switch
Answer:	This model is a switch only and could only control a fan to turn on and off.
Question:	The face place doesnt seem to sit flush with the wall due to how big the switch is. New home, switch is screwed down as far as it will go. Suggestions
Answer:	If the wiring behind the switch is pushing the switch out the only recommendation we could offer would be to contact a licensed electrician to redo or trim out any excess wiring behind the switch location. If the switch box is a much older or smaller than standard switch box, it may be necessary to remove and replace the switch box with a more standard box.
Question:	Why is the timer disabled every time it used
Answer:	The GE 46202 does not contain a timer. If you are referencing a timer function on the hub/controller that you use to control this device, then it would be necessary to contact the support team of that specific hub. This product simply receives a command when the hub is ready to turn it on/off from schedules, scenes, groups, etc. It does not interact with those functions on the hub though.
Question:	I feel confident that I installed correctly, but when I manually flip the switch it fails. Anyone run into trouble that they can give any tips on
Answer:	This switch is designed to work manually even if it isnt connected to a Z-Wave controller. While you are confident, the most common issue is either wires becoming disconnected when everything is pushed back into the junction box, or something not being wired correctly. This switch requires 4 wires to be connected to the back of the switch. Line, Load, and Ground are only 3 of those wires that are connected to a standard switch that you replaced this with. You will also need a neutral wire as well. This is typically a bundle of white wires in the back of the box. You will need to take the white jumper wire included in the box and connect it to the neutral terminal on the back of this switch, then connect it into the bundle of neutrals in the switch box. If you removed 1 neutral from the bundle and connected it into this switch, then it is necessary to put it back into the bundle and use the jumper wire included instead.

Answer:	Depends on where your light switch located but my dog doesn't set it off. He is a 12 pound lap dog. I guess if you have a larger animal then maybe.
Question:	I have a ceiling fan, can this work with that as well? It has bulbs too
Answer:	If your ceiling fan and the lights attached to the ceiling fan are controlled by the same switch, this will not work as intended.

Most (not all but the vast majority) of single pole applications have 2 black wire, the next would be a white and a black (when power originates at the light it travels down a 2wire w/g) where one takes power to the switch and the other back up to the hit wire on the light. Most, the vast majority of applications where a red wire is attached to a switch is in a 3 way application (2 switch's operating light for different locations). In a 3 way this must be followed, one switch takes the power, the other to the light. No matter how it's wired this is the only way they will work as they should. The dark screw on a three way switch either gets the power or the wire to the light-s. the other 2 are indifferent and often the red and white TRAVELER wires, not the white neutral wire needed for the light to work. These instructions are for the USA, European wiring is much different.
Question:	What Is Its Longevity
Answer:	The ground is meant for safety, however the switches will operate without a ground connected. The issue is that these and most other automated switches require 3 wires to operate. Line, Load, and Neutral. When you pull the standard switch out of the wall, the 2 hot wires connected to the switch are actually the Line and Load. The neutral wires are referencing white wires that would have to be found in the back of the box that are not connected to the previous switch. These are required to keep the circuit alive in the switch for the wireless radio to operate. without it, this and almost all other automated switches and timer devices cannot operate.

Answer:	Yes, however to clarify this and another answer already posted, you must have a hub that supports this functionality. The GE 26931 is utilizing the Z-Wave Multi-Channel Command class to be able to address both the motion and the switch function seperately. At this time, only the Lowes Iris and SmartThings (using a community created device handler) can achieve this. It is necessary for the hubs to allow this command class and functionality before it can be taken advantage of. If you are using the Lowes Iris system, you would need to manually use button presses to put the GE 26931 into Manual mode, and then you can set rules to perform actions when motion is detected. For SmartThings, it would be necessary to locate a community device handler to properly take advantage of setting the functions of the GE 26931. We continue to work with other hub manufacturers, however at this time, those are the only devices we are aware of that can utilize the features we have created to perform as you have requested.
Question:	Is this switch smart enough to not turn on the lights when it is daylight? (i.e. does it have an ambient light sensor
Answer:	Yes, it can judge if it is daytime and respond by not automatically turning on the light. You just have to set it up that way. There are several options available. You just need to hold one of three certain buttons down on the switch to program it the way you want it. You can NOT connect the sensor independently to the HUB though, only the actual switch.
Question:	I want to use motion switches in a 3-way setup on a staircase. Can this switch be paired with another motion sensor
Answer:	Unfortunately at this time we do not have an Add-On Switch with a built in motion sensor, and you cannot use 2 Smart Motion Switches together.

Question:	Is the diming controlled with a separate slide, or does the lever control both on/dim/off
Answer:	This model has a maximum incandescent rating of 600 watts. We do not have a higher wattage version of the touch sensing dimmer.

Answer:	If your intent is to use these switches as a 3-way (2 switches controlling 1 set of lights) then yes, our switches can do that. However, both switches will need to be C by GE switches. Please contact our support staff for more information regarding the switches, thank you!

Answer:	Yes, all of our Z-Wave lighting controls can be controlled by Alexa when connected to a Smartthings hub.
Question:	If this switch is paired with a GE 47900, can the 2/3 button press scenes be activated from this switch? Or do the scenes only work from the
Answer:	All Z-Wave devices will require a hub to control them. This includes lighting controls to interact with Google or Alexa. You will need to use the hub's provided app to set up and control the dimmer, then link Google/Alexa with the hub to link them and allow control by voice command through their systems.
Question:	Does this switch allow you to control another switch independently when installed next to the other smart switch
Answer:	The 46203 was completely redesigned from the previous model 14294. That included increased and updated ratings for LED wattage. 46203 = 300 watts LED/CFL and 14294 = 150 watts LED/CFL.
