Answer:	Probably nowhere. I already installed. The proper installation is requiring that you attach all screws to the studs left and right. However, this is limiting the position. I had to cut open the wall, reinforce the studs and position them to my liking and then repair the wall and tiles. Then carefully drill through the tiles and attach the bench. It is not simple task. Answer:	It sticks out from the wall 2" when folded up (the dimension of the wall bracket) and 13-1/4" out from the wall when folded out.
Question:	How to take it off the shower wall
Answer:	You pretty much have to tear down the tile or whatever the wall consists of, and get into the sheet rock to remove it.
Question:	My contractor is telling me that this bench cannot be installed since the tile work has been complete? Is this the case
Answer:	You need a new contractor. Just installed this fold up seat over our tile - that is how it is designed to fit and work properly and to be a beautiful addition to your shower. If you tile around it then it will interfere with its fold up action and would also be much harder to seal. Get a new contractor that can read simple instruction or has some basic mechanical understanding. We love our fold up seat and it works perfectly. It is one of the least obtrusive units on the market that we could find only sticking out 3" and has smooth rounded edges whether up or down. good luckIt should be noted that we had to gut and remodel our bathroom and therefore blocked the wall between studs before the cement board and new tile went up. Then our seat was solidly anchored. We set our top of seat height at 18"

Answer:	I got mine in January 2018. This is a very sturdy bench, yet fairly lightweight. I weigh 240 lbs and it has no problem handling my weight, even at the times when I sit down on it really hard because my legs collapse. I don't take particularly special care of it, just clean it when I clean my shower. It is still looking in new condition after 8 months.

Answer:	No it does not fit into regular tubs. Even if you look at the picture on box it comes in you will see a shadow beneath the foot. This is because it does not go all the way to the floor. It was obviously designed for walk-in showers not regular bath tubs.

Question:	Can this be installed in a tiled shower made in the 1950's
Answer:	Quick answer: probably. Full answer: nothing inherent in the era (the 1950's) makes a wall either able or unable to support this or any other hanging shelf. Only the strength of the wall and the strength of the fastening method can answer that. Perhaps your wall is "lath and plaster" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lath_and_plaster)... you still need to find—or in my opinion, possibly install extra—studs to support this cantilevered seat. Neither a lath or plaster wall will support the seat if both brackets don't have support behind them. Since it's ~11-12" between the brackets and my walls have studs 16" apart I installed a 4-foot tall, vertical piece of wood behind one of the two brackets. I did this from the closet that my shower backed up to. I also installed more substantial screws (3- and 4-inch lags) because I like things to be overengineered and, rightly or wrongly, I was concerned that the supplied screws were not beefy enough.

Answer:	Don't remember for sure, but think it did. I did my own and had no problem. I installed mine on sheetrock wall by using a 2x4 and countersunk 4 - 4 1/2" lag bolts through the 2x4 into the studs (16" centers) Before doing that I attached the mounting bracket to the 2x4 by countersinking the bolts through the back of the 2x4. I did this in our mud room so it's easy to come in, sit down & remove shoes...or put them on before going out. It is very solid. I weigh about 245 and there is no give to it when sitting down.

Answer:	It will get moldy if it isn’t cleaned periodically. I make sure the cushion is propped up for airflow under the bottom.
