Answer:	It fits an adult hand. It will probably be a little big for the 7yr old but just right for the 11 yr old. Just be careful they don't PULL too hard when putting it on. I've disconnected the wires twice. A friend had to soder iit back together for me. It's very delicate.

I believe my gloves came with the slim plastic piece sticking out of there, once pulled the batteries make contact. The button to turn the lights on/off is there as well. The switch also will advance you through the different colors, single color or all colors, staying on solid or flashing. You also get an extra set of four flat batteries. Very nice and FUN!
