Question:	how difficult is it to assemble? I am not very handy
Answer:	Not too difficult if you read the directions carefully and watch the videos if you get stuck. Some of the tolerances are very tight and several times you have to get a screw through solid plastic, for which I used a drill to help. The final screws are almost impossible to install and I had to go buy longer ones to finally get it done.

Question:	How big is the base of this mobile basketball goal? I can see that the base does not look wider than the backboard, but how deep does the base go
Answer:	I am not sure but probably vinyl but it does have the bumps on it. It is pretty unstable in the water for actual basketball my kids use it as a floatie and a jail. Flips over easily. They still love it.

Answer:	The Lifetime universal mount kit is clearly designed to fit the exact location of the two vertical supports on the back of the backboard, and fitting that was tough enough. So I doubt that another 'universal' kit would match the Lifetime design without some tinkering.

Answer:	Took us about four hours. I am retired engineer and son-in-law is mechanically able with good tool set. Need two strong people to manipulate and some sub assemblies need a fair amount of skill to read a drawing. All the parts were there and fit. And it is a good unit.
Question:	how good is the backboards bounce if you shot a free throw to the top of the square would it drop into the hoop everytime or would it give resistance
Answer:	It is pretty flimsy but is a driveway hoop. I converted mine to an in-ground by getting a piece of tubing welded on so when I put in the ground I was able to fill some of that tube with concrete to add mass (maybe 3 feet up). It would help if you could do this higher up to make it less flimsy. We enjoy it. It is now about 6 yrs old and has been in the ground in Oklahoma wind for 5 yrs.

Answer:	Model 90228 and this one (71286) are very similar. Other than the minor differences in the backboard graphics the two systems are the same. Both have 52" Shatter Guard Backboard with an XL base, 3/5" round pole and the Power Lift adjust system.

Answer:	There are barriers on the sides that run about an inch thick but the glass itself looks about 1/2 an inch thick. It's pretty tough.

Answer:	Mine measured 9' 8"" from the floor to the top of the backboard in the lowest position.

Answer:	Depends on the size and height of your garage. It has wheels, but it likes to roll at about a 45 degree angle, so you may have to play with it a little. You have also split the tube in half and take it apart for the winter. I wouldn't hesitate if you have the space.
Question:	My husband is a 35 year old child. Is this appropriate/safe for adults
Answer:	Yes, as long as he is not using the glass backboard to teeth on it is perfectly safe and suitable for adults ;)

Answer:	I would say you would likely have to mount it to something else and use the U brackets on that mount. The spacing for the bolts wouldn’t give you enough space to fit around a tether ball pole, let alone a basketball hoop pole.
