Answer:	Absolutely. Using a gentle leader promotes easier control of your dog. It is meant to be used as a training tool. Once your dog responds to your verbal commands, it is acceptable to wean them onto a normal collar and leash. I would recommend a harness or a martingale style. This doesn't put stress on your dog's neck and makes them respon easier than a standard collar.

Answer:	I'm not a vet, but I'm sure it can be used on cats. Little wipes that clean your pets eyes from drainage. My little dog loves to have his eyes wiped with these.

Answer:	My dog Trudi has black skin and a mixture of black and silver fur (she is a Norwegian Elkhound). I use the Angel Eyes soft chews (2 per day) to prevent the gunk around the eyes (she is old - now 14). I have used the tear wipes (this product) for a few weeks and I have had no problem with lighter fur or skin. It removes tear stains and gunk very well. My dog didn't like them very much but I would use them again if she gets older and the soft chews stop working.

Fitting Tips

Time should be taken when accustoming a dog to the HALTI OptiFit, so that he has a positive association with it. Initially place the noseband flat in your hand and feed the dog treats, so that he is happily putting his nose through it. When he becomes used to it you can secure the neck section.

To ensure that he cannot pull the nose band back over his nose, slide the camlock towards his chin and lock. However, it is important that the camlock is not so high that it restricts his ability to pant, eat or to open his mouth.

When first using the HALTI OptiFit, ensure you continually praise and reward your dog, and feed treats to help distract him and to ensure it is a rewarding experience. Never leave the HALTI OptiFit on an unsupervised dog or he may chew it.

Answer:	I would say yes get a bigger one if it is still too tight when the clip that is around the neck is already as big as it goes, and the clip that adjusts the loop that goes around the nose is a loose as it goes. It should go no further than the fleshy point on the dog’s nose and you should not be able to pull it completely off the dog’s nose. Fitting Tips

Initially your dog may object to wearing the HALTI, so take time to ensure there is a positive association with it. Show the HALTI first and allow them to sniff it and see that it is nothing to be scared of. Feed some treats through the noseband and once accepted you can secure the neck section, snug but not too tight.

Once on, the noseband should sit halfway down the nose, away from the eyes, and without pressure on the chin strap, your dog should be able to open his mouth fully.

Keep up the praise and rewards so wearing the HALTI Headcollar becomes a really positive experience. However, never leave the HALTI on an unsupervised dog as they may chew through it.

This was the wrong choice and the harness drooped too low on her chest, even on the smallest adjustment, tangling her in the leash too often. I returned from our 1st walk and just set up the return and re-ordered the petite/small and hopeful that this work. The quality and function seem excellent!
