Answer:	1/4 - 3/8 is max cut, it might go deeper but that is as far as I have ever tried to cut at once. Hope this helps

Answer:	If you create one with a proper fit you can keep it in your mouth as long as you like. It takes several tries to get the hang of making a tooth but once you learn you it becomes second nature. I've worn mine all day and even eat with in my mouth. Just practice till you get the correct fit.
