Answer: Normally you would screw a 1.5" hose barb adapter into the inlet and outlet and you would attach a 1.5" hose. I am not sure why yours is too small. Sometimes they fit tight or snug and I have taken a hair dryer and warmed up the ends to make them soft and they slide right on.

Answer: Be careful... SPA companies use the INSIDE diameter for their pipes. So a 2" pipe (inner diameter) take a 2 1/2' gasket. There are newer clean silicon (and black rubber) ones that have the round gasket and flat seal as one piece. Then again, two different seals (2" inner diameter) for my 2 1/2 gasket (and sometimes called 3" thread size) from two different places, one fit the pipe cutout. The other did not, it was a tiny bit smaller, and that one came from a well known Spa company. Then I find out some Spa companies use slightly "custom" pipes so you can only order from them ! !
