Answer:	Probably not. Cactus need a LOT of light. Even more to bloom. You want T5 lights, but you need more, 4 or 8 bulbs. Even then, you will probably need to hang them fairly close to your cactus. If you can't visit your cactus without sunglasses, you are on the right track. Good luck.

Question:	How much heat does this produce with the 6500k bulbs
Answer:	These lights are hot for germination purposes. You asked a good question. Before I bought these lights I read this — and the responses, which mostly seemed to miss your point. The correct application of your question has to do with how the heat of the bulbs affect the growing/germination conditions for the seeds/seedlings. I bought the fixture — then ordered another one before really learning the correct answer. It took 10 days — and no germination of seeds I had planted — to actually put a meat thermometer into the soil and learn that the soil temperature was 94 degrees. I raised the lights to 7 inches — waited some hours — and the temperature had gone down to 81. That was with all four lamps lit. Seeds will likely be cooked with these lights at the height with a plastic dome over the flats (about 4 inches above soil surface) if all four lights are on. As the old joke goes — lights, or cool....can’t have both;((. I am trying to decide what will yield the best germination condition.....four lights on at 8 to 10” height, or two bulbs at 4” height. If the latter, which two will give best germination. Wish I had the warning. Could have saved me some precious — and expensive seeds — and precious time.
Question:	Is there a significant difference between the grow lights for seedlings and the bloom lights
Answer:	If you go with a full spectrum mix that's good from start to finish. I use all 6500 K while vegging & all 2700 k for blooming. The answer is YES. just remember 6500 for vegging & 2700 for blooming.

Answer:	The bulbs that come with it are terrific .. 54watts each and put off a great spectrum from what my plants tell me ;) also they run so cool I keep the plants within 3"-5" from the fixture holding 4bulbs

Answer:	If I recall, there is a limit to the amount that can be daisy chained together.....seems to me it was about 4. I have no more than 3 in my light setup.

Answer:	A typical light switch is rated at 15amps @ 120volts or 1800 watts. Typical Romex running between switch and light is 14 gauge, again rated at 1800 watts. Consider loading that system with no more than 65% max to allow for hot, summer ambient temperatures. So, 16 of these fixtures @ 72watts each should be fine on a single switch circuit.
Question:	Do they come with bulbs
Answer:	A typical woodworking shop at 20 x 24 is 480 square feet. A typical woodworking shop needs an average of 80 lumens per square foot so 480 x 80 =38,000 lumens so 38,400 divided by 5,000 per fixture is 7.68 so 8 fixtures would be good average shop light. High precision joinery and machine shop lighting is usually at 100 lumens per square foot which would put you at 9.6 lights so a 10 pack would give excellent lighting through the whole shop.

Answer:	The CRI is a measure of light compared to the sun. The sun is 1 or 100% everything else is less. In this case the CRI is rated at 85 or more correctly 85% of the sun. To give you a comparison the old parking lot lights that looked yellow and made you and all the cars look yellow had a CRI of around 40%.

Answer:	I know this question was asked a while ago. But, unless your running lots of co2, and you have a tank below say, 100 gallons. This is way over kill. I had a 4 bulb t5 fixture on my 75 gallon, co2, and fertilizing using the method, and I believe that was considered high light. Anyone not running co2 in their tanks, should look into a 2 bulb t5 fixture, and even then, I think your looking for a major algae problem. Anywho hope this helps some on. Question:	Will this work on 220v circuit
Answer:	220 is actually 2- 110 volt lines, still considered single phase. You just use ONE hot leg and the neutral or ground. This is ok. There is usually (almost always) this type of split in most appliances. I.e. the timer and many other components on your dryer are 110 volt while the heating element is 220 volt. Inside the dryer at the board there is a split. Your range is another obvious split. The light in your oven and the timer are both only using 1 hot leg of a 220 volt circuit. You can always go down in voltage by splitting or only using 1 hot leg.

Question:	How do I decide between the 2-bulb unit and the 4-bulb unit? Do they put out heat as well as light? Thanks for any/all replies
Answer:	Well, the 4 lights give out twice as much light and enable you to grow plants on a deeper shelf. I really like this light, and last year my seedlings grew better under these lamps than under my 2 light lamps. I didn't find them to put out too much heat, but they do give some warmth, which is good. I made an L-shape growing area with 2 sets of shelves. I put up 2 four-feet lamps on several shelves, and this lamp on the shorter side.
Question:	Do those who own this unit already feel safe leaving it on while they are not home (e.g., while at work
Answer:	Yes, I do feel safe leaving said product on will not at home. As a design engineer of switch mode power supplies there not much to the circuit that that can lead to a hazardous condition, but they can fail.The fixture is all metal and certified by ETL. ETL is like UL or CSA. Use it safely and you should not have a problem.
Question:	What's the difference between these 6400k T5 bulbs and other bulbs with a different temp, as it relates to growing plants
Answer:	6400k Promote root and leaf growth (Blue Light.) This is closer to natural daylight. Must lights only promote stem growth providing poor too tall growth. Later warmer (red light) can help flowers and budding tricking the plants to think fall has arrived. For most growing the 6400k provides balanced plant growth.

Answer:	One of the answers replied with some math that is oddly worded so to prevent confusion: The calculation for how much it costs to run a device that uses 100 W goes like this: - The electric company charges you per kWh (kilo-watt hour), usually on the order of $0.09-$0.20 per kWh in the US. Assume electricity cost of $0.12/kWh. - A Watt-hour is the energy consumed when you use 1xWatt for 1xhour. - So if you use 100 W for 1 h, you have 100 Wh. - A kilo-watt-hour (kWh) is a measurement like a KILO-gram, a thousand times as big. - 100 Wh in kWh is 100Wh/1000 = 0.1 kWH. - 0.1 kWh (energy consumed while device is on) * $0.12/kWh (cost of electricity per kWh) = $0.012 for 100 W for 1 hour of usage. So to apply this to another user's math: "This unit uses 54 watts a bulb, thats 216 if 4 bulbs are running" - 16 h/day * 31 days/month = 496 hours. - 496 hours * 216 Wh = 107,136 Wh, -- converted to kWh becomes 107.136 kWh. - 107 kWh * $0.12/kWh = $12.84 to run the 4 bulb variant for a whole month non stop.

Answer:	The ones we received included 48” jumper wires, wires with the on/off switch and a light to light jumper connector. We didn't use the 48” jumpers because we butted the lights end to end. In order to fabricate your own jumper wires you would need at least 16 gauge braided wire. The problem is, how would you get the wires connected to the light? Question:	Anyone know if these will work for 'Vegging' with Hydroponic Growing
Answer:	Not sure it will work, lighting is ultra white and very easy to install
Question:	How many can be linked together on one power supply
Answer:	I currently have 20 linked together through one plug in connector. They seem to work fine but I might split them up in case that is a hazard of some sort.

Question:	Can you put these lights on the ceiling for hanging plants? I'm looking to use grow lights for my pathos and philodendrons
Answer:	I mean you could, but I’d say they r more for a shelving type setup. They do come with some brackets and screws that would probably work best on the ceiling as opposed to the sticky pads they also come with. The power cord though is only about 4ft so you would have to get an extension cord, and the on/off switch would be almost out of reach for short people, but you could just unplug the whole cord. I have mine set up in a mini greenhouse and in a bookcase. Hope this helps
Question:	There is a fair bit of discussion here on white vs yellow. Which are these? I am looking for white. Do they switch between both
Answer:	Mine are definitely not yellow, if anything they have a pinky/purple hue to them. I’ve seen the pictures and other reviews too and some of them do look more yellow. Maybe there are different manufacturing plants making this same product.
