Answer:	The gloves’ opening is quite narrow and I’ve gotten small hands. I’d say no since the opening doesn’t adjust to each persons hand size.

Answer:	I'm no expert on fit, but I suspect it would have been better to tell us if the child has short or longer fingers for his age, as well as the length of his hand from the tip of his middle finger down to his wrist. The other measurement they would want to know is the circumference of the palm, not including the thumb. When taking those measurements, it's best to use a cloth tape measure. I would then contact the manufacturer's Customer Service Dept. directly by phone (FootJoy, Mizuno, etc.) to explain the situation and give that person those two measurements. They should be able to tell you the correct size for the child (or any person) based on that information.
