Personally, I use a chlorine floater with 1 inch tabs because I've read that using them in the basket can shorten the length of the filter and pump. I found that Amazon's 1 inch tabs were more expensive than my local Lowe's. Hope that helps!

Answer:	I have owned above ground pools since 1978. The seller of the first pool I purchased said not to use a pillow. He said it raises the cover out of the pool and expose it to the sun and wears it out. I took his advice and never used a pillow. I am on my second above-ground pool installed 1998. I have had many pool covers over the years and the majority of them wear out within about 3-5 years. I have had many types expensive 20 year warranty and cheaper ones. They all last about the same 3-5 years. I live in Southwest Ohio and have a 28 foot diameter pool. I have had this cover for about 2 years and so far it shows no wear. I purchased a leave cover a few years ago and put the leaf cover the solid cover. I helps hold the solid down during winds. When I get a nice sunny day in the first three months I take the leaf cover off and empty the leaves and sometimes I put it back on to hold it down during the Spring rains. During the winters I siphon the water off by using garden hoses. I have done this procedure for the past 5 years. I would provably purchase this cover again. My neighbor uses a pillow but he has only had a pool for about three years. He tries to secure the pillow but it come loose and floats to one side. I see this year he is not using a pillow. Answer:	I don't flat out see any listed expiration date on the box but there is a number stamped in black ink on one end of the box 130628that could be an exp date of 6-28-13 but I am not sure. that being said I only buy these one at a time and have never got a bad one yet. I just wait until the printer says it is low then I order one. it comes long before I actually run out. I have went several weeks sometimes before I actually need to change it.

If your area maintains tropical climates all year long, you may not need to winterize your pool at all, especially if you use your pool on a regular basis. Colder Climates In climates where temperatures drop below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, Intex recommends you disassemble and store your pool. Temperatures at these levels can cause ice damage to the pool. Disassemble and store the pool in the fall when temperatures drop and you are no longer using the pool. Question:	How did everyone get the walls up when adding water. Directions say it should when the upper ring is inflated but it’s not working
Answer:	Hi Blair, the pool should be on a flat surface when filling with the ring inflated. Once you begin filling the pool with water stop after adding approximately 1 inch and push out the sidewalls from underneath the ring around the circumference of the pool. Begin filling again. Answer:	I stopped using mine as it was having no effect on evaporation or heating the pol, I went back to the solar cover. I'm told 4oz was to cover an area of 680sq ft so I used 5 oz for 720 sq ft which is what my pool area was and it had no effect at all.

Answer:	This product is not irritating or dangerous. Swimming can be done right away.

Answer:	Absolutely, have used in my salt water pool for about a year. You'll most likely notice reduced evaporation first. A side effect of evaporation is cooling, so there is also a slightly less loss of temperature. Here in So Fl. we use it in the fall and spring. Winter here (w/solar heating) requires a "bubble plastic" solar cover to use pool year round. Up north I would use it all summer long. Here in Summer the pool is often close to 94/95 w/o any cover and solar heat shut down, so we just run the deck jets and replace the water evaporation when it doesn't rain enough to keep the pool filled and temp down below 90. I like this product and use it a lot; it isn't magic, but it sure helps reduce water evaporation (just for the record, we also use 50ppm borate in the pool water as well). Also I have found after the first 2 doses, I only need to add more product every other week (if you had kids and loads of splash out) then maybe you might need to add more each week.

Answer:	I bought another brand 8' pool and bought this cover in 8'. Harley was right and it doesn't fit. It is about 2' too short so i am going to try this 10' to see if it fits. I will let you know what happens....!
