Answer:	Ditto to the other responses - you need to hold the button down to stay muted. When on long conference calls, I frequently put myself on mute and this feature's function has not been an issue because both my LAN and mobile phones have mute buttons.

Answer:	It WILL work with an iPhone, and most Android phones. You just need to also purchase a 2.5 mm (female) to 3.5 mm (male) adapter. (This headset has a 2.5 mm pin/plug, and the iPhone has a 3.5 mm socket.) These adapters are available on Amazon for around $4. I had looked quite extensively for a headset with a 3.5 mm pin (also know as plug or jack) without success. They just do not seem to be available in a headset of this quality. However, I have used this set up for several years now when working from home (or even in the office) and it works well! The headset will fail before the adapter does. :)

Answer:	Cisco 7945 has a list of headset that are compatible with their phones but as IT professional I found that the plantronics head sets work the best

Answer:	If you have the 4 wire modular connection as found on wired phones for the last 30 years it should work. However, if this headset alone does not have the circuitry to hang up, it may be a problem.
Question:	How does this compare with c602p1 headset? is it compatible with panasonic kx-tga
Answer:	There are 7 options (thumbnails) under the "Color: " option. The first $16.99 thumbnail picture is the 2.5mm cordless phone option. I have one it works however the plug rubber surrounding the connector is very thick and has trouble fitting into handsets with recessed connectors. For my Uniden handset I had to trim some of the rubber off the sides of the connector.

Answer:	There isn't a way to adjust the volume on the headset itself. You could only adjust the volume on your phone base, or if you use your computer to work from and accept calls through a computer system you work with, you may also have a volume control in that system.

Answer:	According to Cortelco's website, this phone is "assembled in the U.S.A.", which would be at Corinth, MS. Cortelco's facility there was a previous ITT manufacturing location. That "ITT" name would translate to "International Telephone & Telegraph". For those over 50, the "ITT" name should have significance... for the younger crowd, maybe not. No doubt there are some "globally sourced" components used as in any current electronic devices. Cortelco offers a desktop (2500 series) along with this wall mount phone (2554 series) and even a "Trimline" (8150) that are assembled/made in the U.S.A.

Answer:	This phone's ringer is made by a traditional bell. It is NOT digital. I intentionally bought this older phone because I wanted that older authentic sound and it is great!

Answer:	If you have a standard phone jack...this phone is a standard no frills phone. It has no electrical cord or batteries for functions you do not need for a phone to make a call or receive a call. It is not an alarm. It is not a hands free. It is not a cordless. I was tired of hearing garbled or diminished staticky reception. This phone has beautiful clarity which we have not experienced for YEARS! We had phones in this house which were obviously inferior. NOW to your most important question...keep or make sure you have a true land line. We bundled our cable, home phone, and internet with a cable company. When we first subscribed 10 years ago, it was questionable if the phone would still work during power outages and/or with 911 OR when cable service goes out. We still on occasion will experience a problem when the cable service goes completely dead. Check with your service provider and grill them on your concerns. This phone will more than likely not be the problem. This is a standard old fashioned phone that is still manufactured as a quality product because businesses and hotels/motels need to have these. Cellphones are unreliable and overrated and do not serve the primary purpose RELIABLY to call someone when you NEED to call someone. I hope my observations help.

Answer:	There is a little slit for the lanyard on the bottom left of the device across from the power button. I pushed it in the slot under the bar and pulled it through through the other side using a safety pin. and then you open the loop and pull the lanyard through to make a secure hold.
Question:	Can this phone merge two incoming calls
Answer:	It is not a rechargeable fan. USB plug-in
Question:	Can I option of handset, speaker or headset to answer calls
Answer:	No. But you can move it up and down to point to the exact spot you want it to be.

Speed Dial Memory Function

This landline phone support one-touch dial, which make it quick and easy to connect with frequently dialed numbers or emergency calls for help.

Delete Function

Support delete all the phone numbers on the incoming or outgoing call lists to facilitate better management of stored information.

Caller ID

The LCD screen displays Year/Date/Time/Caller ID. And there are 5 screen brightness allow you to adjust.

Auto Answering Function

To answer the phone automatically: when calls come, the phone will just ring one second, and the calls will be received automatically. Very Convenient.

The handset jack is on the left side of the phone, please don't plug it into phone line jack(phone line jack is on the back of the phone)

Other Functions

ADJUSTABLE HEADSET/RINGER VOLUME: The volume of headset can be adjusted up to 40 dB.

HEADSET BRACKET: You can hang your headset on the bracket to increase the usable area and make your desk orderliness.

REVIEW INCOMING/OUTGOING CALL LIST: Allows you to check the incoming/outgoing phone number.

REDIAL FUNCTION: You can press the REDIAL button to quickly dial the latest number.

VIP NUMBER: You can set some important numbers in the Caller ID list to VIP numbers. The VIP number will not be flush away by the newly coming number when the memory is full.

RJ9 HEADSET JACK; RJ11 PHONE LINE JACK: The specification of headset is RJ9 and the specification of phone line is RJ11.

3.5MM RECORDER JACK: You can connect your recorder to this phone to record a call.
