Answer:	The Brother QL-1100 will not connect to an iPhone device. It does not require Internet access in order to use this printer.

Answer:	Quick Label printers are compatible with most applications. The printers come with Brother's P-touch Editor label design software. Users can print from their applications using the printer driver. Please note that Brother does not provide support for any of these applications. Answer:	No, the QL-1100 label printer is not compatible with Chrome OS.

Answer:	Yes it does, if you open the labels from etsy in the correct format (Etsy has this option when purchasing labels, choose 4 x 6) you can then print those labels with this label printer. Also works with amazon, and any other website with a 6 x 4 label option. However, the original labels for this printer are expensive compared to the industry standard, I recommend the Arkscan 2054A if you want inexpensive labels. (Currently, the cheapest Third-Party labels for the brother are enKo labels, but they aren't the right size and don't work correctly, so the original DK Brother labels are about 12 cents per label. The generic labels for the Arkscan are the same as for zebra and other printers, at around 2 cents per label.)

Answer:	The QL800 uses the DK 1202 labels (2.4 in x 3.9 in) for shipping labels.

Answer:	I thought I'd chime in on this because I have a very similar application. They do not sell laminated labels per se, but they do offer some non-paper labels. They call it film tape. In my case I use the 2.4" wide continuous length labels and you can buy DK-2212 (black on white, 50' length) or DK-2606 (black on yellow, 50' length). Keep in mind that these are quite expensive compared to the paper labels but given the clean room application, I'm guessing paying 6X or more per label may not be a big issue when the alternative is a particle shedding label. I don't know for sure that these film tape labels won't shed particles, but the rolls I bought felt like plastic with adhesive so I'm guessing they will at a minimum shed less than their paper counterparts. If you have different label needs (not the 2.4" wide rolls) just search on amazon for "brother film tape" and you should get a lot of results. tldr: They offer non-paper labels, search amazon for "brother film tape" to find some possibilities that may work for your clean room application.

Answer:	Yes, but it requires a library like LibUSB or WinUSB and possibly a "filter" driver. For the data formats to send it, look for the raster command reference pdf on the Brother downloads site.

Answer:	The largest label the QL-820NWB will use is a 2.4" wide label.

Answer:	The width of the print head is 2.75 inches. The printer uses thermal paper to print image. I only use it to print labels. Labels and thermal paper come in all sizes. When you change size labels printer recognizes the change in label size on your screen.
Question:	can it be used to print prescription labels? if yes can you send me a link for the compatible labels that will work with it
Answer:	Well Yes, BUT... The printer would print the labels (direct thermal), if you can find someone who makes the labels for this printer. But as far as I can see everyone seems to use Cognitive label printers. So No. The Brother TD-2000 is used for printing prescription labels (google for prescription labels brother).
Question:	Can you use to print FedEx shipping labels
Answer:	It does not work with Fedex. But Brother Does make printers that work for that purpose, called the QL-1050, 1060N. Also Fedex Ship manager software works with the Eltron / Zebra printers.

Question:	Does it print bar codes
Answer:	Yes, it can, but because it isn't designed exclusively for printing bar codes, they recommend that you check that the bar code you create can be read by the bar code reader. For best results you should print a bar code label only in black ink on a white label using the Large setting for width, because some bar code readers may not work with colored tape or ink.

Answer:	The present P-Touch printer I have is PT-530. Will this PTD-600 be able to use "TZ Tape" (not "TZe" tape)?
Question:	Other Brother models are known to "wast a inch of paper". Does this waste paper on each label printed
Answer:	You can reduce waste if you don't cut each label with the machines cutter. You cannot reduce the left margin, because the cutter is about 1/2"or so past the print head.. I have an older machine and can only print one line. I enter several labels (as many as it will allow me before out of room), then print so I only waste the first inch. I put one space or none between each label. Of course I have to use scissors, but I am saving lots of tape. Or you can do one label, print, another label, print, etc. I only have about 1/4 inch between each label. On mine you have to pull the label out because the print stops inside the printer. This may sound silly or extreme, but if you are only printing one label, you could remove the cartridge after printing and cut the label close to the cartridge, saving part of the wasted label. I haven't tried that so don't know how much you would save. LOL

" However, this only works if you are using very simple labels with no frame or border. Since we purchase these modern label makers for all of their graphic options, this is only a "solution " if you do NOT use 95% of the label maker's capabilities. So, NO great way to save on excessive tape margins.

Question:	Does this label maker do decorative labels
Answer:	Yes. They have 10 or 12 complete Label layouts you can use or they have 14 categories of 10 or more symbols that can be used for making custom labels.
Question:	Does it come with the tape
Answer:	It came with one roll. It is a very nice machine, I bought it for my niece, she labels everything but has not used up the roll yet. FYI... the tape is expensive at almost $18 but Costco sells 5 pack for about $40.
Question:	Does it automatically center multiple lines, or do you have to add 'spaces' yourself
Answer:	While the default is Left alignment, there is a menu on the screen by pressing the large "Font" button that lets you select Left, Center, Right or Justify by individual line of the label. Fonts and settings can also be saved or stored, so you can save a label setting for later repetition.
Question:	Is there a "chain" setting option to reduce tape waste
Answer:	Yes there is. Not only a chain setting but also a proceedure so that you can run several print runs without having to feed and cut. To set the chain function just press "label" tab and scroll down. In the "margin" setting press the right arrow above the "OK" button until you reach chain. Then press the "OK" button. Now lets say that you want to print 27 labels without waste. Just choose 9 as the number of labels you want to print on the first run but after it prints do not choose the feed option. Just press "esc" and run another 9 labels and repeat the previous instructions. Run a third time to reach the number of desired labels (27). After that last run, then it's OK to choose the feed option then cut. You can follow the above instructions to print any number of labels.

Answer:	The difference in the two machines are The Plus model can print up to a 24mm tape and the Cube will print up to 12mm. The plus model has a auto cutter compared to a manual cutter on the Cube version. The plus model also prints faster than the Cube version (30mm per sec vs. 20mm per sec).
