Answer:	I use a teflon sheet and no you don't have to press too hard. I used to use my iron and this thing is AAAAAmazing!!! Time and heat control... no more guessing or over heating.

Answer:	Your iron may be greatly superior to mine...But the advantages that this heat press has over my iron are these: 1) I'm able set the exact temperature I need. (I didn't realize what a difference this would make!) 2) The heat press is HEAVY. I want a lightweight iron for ironing clothes, but want pressure (which weight provides) for heat transfer designs. 3) This heat press has a timer. I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. To be truthful, any heat press probably delivers these. But the smaller, more compact size (even with the largest, the 12 x 10--which I purchased), and hence, easier storage when not in use...is what tipped the scales for me when choosing the Cricut over the other brands of heat presses. Question:	How sturdy is this item? Will it fall over in a strong wind? I live where the winds blow fairly hard at times
Answer:	I actually toss a little bit (maybe 6 cups) of soil from my garden in my compost when starting it out and it seems to give it a good kick. Just add 50/50 green and brown material with it and it will take off. Make sure to check it often if it gets sunny outside. Compost seems to dry out fast when it's hot, due to bacteria and fungus using a lot more water when it gets hot.
Question:	where is it made
Answer:	I keep adding to my compost all winter. I just don't turn it over as often, maybe once every 2 weeks or so. While nothing will "cook" during the winter, you'll have fresh material on standby for when it does start to warm up. I suppose my only tip would be to make sure you add material to it during the daytime and make sure your composter stays in a sunny spot. The door can freeze "shut" at night due to the lower temperatures and any moisture along the track.I've already been through one winter with it and I sincerely had no issues and didn't have to make any changes to the way I used the tumbler.
Question:	at what point do I stop putting waste in and stop so it fully composts? There seems to be a lack of info about the transition
Answer:	You have to assemble it. I brought it about a year ago and put off trying to put it together until yesterday, because of all the reviews saying it was difficult. I didn't find it hard to figure out how to do it , and thought the instructions that came with it did a good job of showing you how to do it . It was time consuming because you have to put in 57 small screws with the nuts. I'm a woman, 76 years old with no especial insight on assembling things. It looks like it will do a good job for me.

Answer:	NO, NOT AT ALL. Compared to actual bear-proof stuff, this lightweight plastic thing is like playdough. It's not pretending to be otherwise. Bears require heavy metal and tricky locking mechanisms--and, even so, they still break open car doors and trunks. If you have bear issues, maybe keep this in an area enclosed by a tall, strong fence, or in a garage/shed/barn, if you have one big enough for that to work and not overwhelm you with stink.

Answer:	My unit opens very easily. I have to clear the door occasionally of small debris that collect in the track the door uses. If yours was difficult to open day one use some sand paper on the door ( bottom and top edge) and / or the main unit track (to remove any plastic molding leftovers). This could solve the problem and be easier on you than a return. If no amount of removing burrs etc. helps the situation then a return may be necessary. Mold injection plastic is notorious for having to have its edges cleaned up a bit. This often is not done as much as is needed at the end of the manufacturing process. I regularly have to finish the job on plastic mold injection products. I love my unit. It is the perfect size for my porch and for me to pick up and empty. It does spill out small particles through vent holes... something one needs to expect and understand as part of the design.

Question:	How do you get the finished compost out? Can a shovel fit in the doors or do you turn the bin, open the door and dump out finished compost
Answer:	I find it very stable. Most of the time one side is full and “cooking” while I am filling the other side. If you need to you could put sand bags on the base. Here in California I get 2 buckets of lovely soil from one side very 3 to 4 weeks

Answer:	My guess is if it's Israeli it's made by Keter who makes plastic sheds, deck boxes etc.

Answer:	I made 2 batches so far. The 1st I filled 3/4 full and let it sit. Over time the pile lessened to about 1/2 as it composted. I filled the 2nd chamber full and am waiting for it to do its work...after 2 weeks it’s still pretty full, although it has decreased, and continues to compost.
Question:	Is this tumbler suitable to be sitting in direct sun in the Central Valley? 110F is not unusual

Question:	will the frame rust
Answer:	We only got it this year but I don't think so.
Question:	Does it still reach temperature in winter? We get below freezing from Nov-March but our winters are pretty mild
Answer:	If your temperature gets below freezing it will not breakdown the materials as during the summer months. There are holes along the sides for air flow. So cold air wont allow it to reach proper temperature.

Answer:	Hdpe no idea if bps free but it leaks so be sure to put it somewhere it can drain. And 1/2 brown to 1/2 green stuff.

Answer:	Yes. that is what I use them for and they work really well. I locate the bales that are the hottest and leave the REOTEMP in the bale and look at it daily. My last hay was not as dry as I would have liked and I put the REOTEMP in when it read 120F three days after baling. It went to 140F and then came back to 120 when I removed it yesterday.
Question:	Can you anchor it to the ground? Can animals easily take the top off
Answer:	The sensitive portion is the last 2 inches at the tip of the probe. So you don't have to necessarily put the entire stem into the compost pile.

Answer:	Don’t really know because it was bought for my wife who has two other compost containers. She has transferred some material to the new one. She does love her new composter. States that it is exactly what she wasted.

Answer:	The latches are tight, but bears are very clever creatures. And strong. They can even open car doors. :-) So we would not say it is bear proof. It will keep out raccoons, though.

Answer:	I don 't think my compost has ever been ready in two weeks. I like to cure it at least six weeks. My Mantis sits out in the weather with no problems. It needs the sun to heat the compost. I like it very much!

Answer:	Yes. There are indent places as handholds to help roll it on its base. I like my 2.

Answer:	6 x 10 inches
Question:	I'm finding the door is very difficult to slide open/closed. Is that common or do you think I have a unit with a defect
Answer:	My unit opens very easily. I have to clear the door occasionally of small debris that collect in the track the door uses. If yours was difficult to open day one use some sand paper on the door ( bottom and top edge) and / or the main unit track (to remove any plastic molding leftovers). This could solve the problem and be easier on you than a return. If no amount of removing burrs etc. helps the situation then a return may be necessary. Mold injection plastic is notorious for having to have its edges cleaned up a bit. This often is not done as much as is needed at the end of the manufacturing process. I regularly have to finish the job on plastic mold injection products. I love my unit. It is the perfect size for my porch and for me to pick up and empty. It does spill out small particles through vent holes... something one needs to expect and understand as part of the design.

Answer:	Ours pretty much filled up in three weeks. It's ready based on how much sun you get really. We rolled ours everyday. Also, make sure to put in a little bit of moisture. Also need some grass clippings and leaves from the yard, get it going faster. Last tip: Cut up your scraps when convenient. The smaller the stuff you put in, the faster it composts!
