Answer:	All of the answers that suggest being on "A and B 120 volt sections" are wrong. This device works over WiFi. That old "A and B" advice is for obsolete powerline systems like X-10. Any problems are due to WiFi signal quality. The Smart Plug and Echo do NOT need to be on the same "120 volt section."
Question:	Do I need an Alexa device in the home to control the outlet while we're away
Answer:	As long as you have the app and the outlet is paired with your Alexa app, you can control it through the app (no echo device needed).
Question:	Does it work with a 5g wi-fi or is like the other one you sell that only work with a 2g wi-fi
Answer:	You probably don't want this device to use 5 ghz wi-fi, which has a limited amount of signal channels. 2 ghz wi-fi has fewer channels, running at lower speeds, and is generally conjested with traffic from your neighbor's wifi. You won't, however, notice a difference in lag for a smart plug due it is only using about 1 kilobit per second over a connectionless protocol to activate or deactivate the plug. This plug, running on the 2 ghz wi-fi, means that there is one more channel available on the 5 ghz wi-fi for a device that really needs it, like a TV or a gaming console, which tend to transmit at around 25,000 kilobits per second each.
Question:	My Keurig has a toggle switch. Will this plug work, or does the appliance have to be turned on when it is plugged into the smart plug
Answer:	I haven't even installed my smart plug yet and I can already answer this. The plug will turn it on but how would it press the button to brew? Again, I can already say it won't do that. Another answer mentioned using a switch bot. Okay. So smart plug $10-$15 plus switch bot $20 ... Dude, just go buy a coffeemaker with a clock/timer. They've been around FOREVER and will both turn themselves on and brew your coffee for you and you don't even have to make a whole pot. You can get an entire coffee maker for like $25 then use your smart plugs for something else/something that doesn't already have the ability to turn itself on/ect. :)

Answer:	It was fairly simple for me to setup. It took about 7-10 minutes to set it up. I used the google assistant so the following steps may vary if you use alexa. 1. Plug in the smart plug. 2. Press and hold the power button until the button flashes blue about twice every second. (Rapid Flashing) 3. Next, download the Smart Life app and create an account. (Make sure you sign up via email and not via google or apple. It will ask for a password during the linking process.) 4. Once an account is setup, add a new device. Select the one that says (Smart Outlet - Wifi). 5. Follow the next few prompts and it should set the plug up via Smart Life. 6. Answer:	I don’t know I could never get mine to work had to send it back.
Question:	Once i program it does it still require wi-fi to work? for instance, i want to use this plug to turn my wi-fi router off at night time & on in morning
Answer:	Yes you can. I use an app on my phone (Smart Life) to turn the switch off at 2:55 am and back on at 3 am to power cycle the router.
Question:	Does these plugs work with smartthings
Answer:	It can if you use IFTTT. I have one of these turn on when my garage door sensor (smartthings) is open.
Question:	When i try to enter the passwod for my wifi router (which contains spaces...) it tells me "the password i entered contains spaces", and won't take it
Answer:	I'm not surprised since the Smart Life app does not follow the Wi-Fi standard for network passwords. The standard also says passphrases can have 63 characters (which you should use to better protect your home network against hackers). The app only allows passwords UNDER 58 characters! When I contacted support for the Smart Life app, they refused to fix the app to allow 63 characters and instead said that customers should change their password to be only 20 digits. Since I have dozens of devices connected to my network and don't want to have to reconnect all of them (and I prefer to have a secure network), that's a ridiculous suggestion. They probably won't fix the space bug either. I'm returning these plugs and buying some from Wyze--they're easier to pair anyway.

Question:	Can this dual socket be controlled by Samsung SmartThings
Answer:	I keep both of them. Because if your wifi goes down then u need the gosund app to like delete it and reinstall them.
Question:	Does each plug comes in a separate box or all 4 in one box
Answer:	As long as the appliance can be turned on at the switch, and unplugging and plugging it back in will start the appliance (like some, but not all coffee makers), it should work. Not all appliances have a hard-wired switch and some you have to press an on button each time you use it. Those will not work with these since once it's turned off, the smart plug can't press that button for you. My coffee maker has a hard wired switch and doesn't have any fancy microprocessor that uses a momentary push button to turn it on. However, note the maximum current rating or wattage for the smart plug or hub. I have a coffee maker that uses 1450 watts and I had to buy a different smart plug for it that was rated 15 amps to be safe. If you use a smart plug with a lower wattage or current rating than your appliance, you are asking for trouble, either a possible fire or an early demise of the smart plug.

Question:	If it's on and there's a power outage, will it come back on when the power comes back or stay off
Answer:	It DOES NOT power back on the individual ports. You need WiFi and your app. We were using these to control a switch that powered our wifi. We could reset when there was a problem. But, one day the powr failed and all our wifi switches stayed off (the ports) and we had no wifi to turn them back on.
