So somewhere in between. This is for a cabin in northern Wisconsin.It's a good product - runs well, not loud, very well insulated.

Answer:	Not as long as you would expect. The key is to precool with frozen water bottles or ice. Insure everything you store is cold or frozen and keep it out of the sun. I even added aluminum insulation to the outside. I later bought a Yeti to go with it and the Yeti performs about as well.

Answer:	Google is your friend! Engel website lists this cooler at 33 lb. I can tell you they're not light! When full it's a 2-person job to move them. I guess that's why they do such a good job of keeping things cold. I've used ours rafting and they keep ice for 4 days at least.

Answer:	Not an expert in the field but would say it may work as this unit draws between 2.3 amps down to around .7 amps. What could possibly make it blow the fuse or circuit breaker on a mobile power unit is the start up amperage of the compressor. This is larger than the running amperage of 2.3 amps. If the mobile power unit has a surge rating considerably greater it may be OK. I would look up the amperage draw of the ARB Frighted/Freezer to determine what the start up amperage is. I know the wiring to hard wire the frighted/freezer to a car/truck battery uses a 15 amp fuse. I would be hesitant to trust the mobile power unit to start the compressor.

Question:	Is the unit durable enough that I could put a cushion on it and use it as a seat when camping
Answer:	You can put enough beer and ice in it that it will take two people to lift it.
Question:	Do I have tto use the metal racks that came with the unit? Any problems if I don't
Answer:	Great question. I have had it filled to the max with frozen meat and I would venture to say I have had 150-200 lbs of meat. I have had 2 deer and an antelope in the cooler (processed and frozen). Good luck.
Question:	Can you use vertically, with the door opening as convential refrigerator

Question:	How much current does it draw when in refrigerator mode and in the freezer mode? Thank you
Answer:	They have a limited warranty that is only good for the original owner. If it fails in any way from normal use, they will fix it.

User questions & answers

Question:	How cold does the freezer get? I want do use it as a freezer
Answer:	I have sat on it several times. I bought the 85 quart model. I believe it would be durable enough, just remember using anything other than its intended design falls upon you as to warranty issues.
Question:	Does it need to be vented
Answer:	The racks are there not only to help organize the food but also to protect the thin aluminumlining. It can be rather easily damaged by hard frozen product if allowed to drop to the bottom of the freezer. I have a few such dents before I learned my lesson. If a hole does penetrate ,that hole would then become a place to capture moisture when defrosted and when stored would become a breeding ground for mold.
Question:	How do I wire this? I need to run off shore power when at the dock but how does it automatically switch to 12v as soon as I unplug
Answer:	I wouldn't recommend it. You would have to remove the handle on what side you wanted to set on the ground. The door is flush with the side so you would have to elevate it or the door would scrape on the ground. You would loose a lot of space as there is no shelving system and everything would poor out when you opened it. You would also block vents if you set it up that way and probably overheat the compressor. So in short no it is meant to be used as shown in the picture, might need to look for a different product to use it like a traditional fridge.
Question:	size dimension ? which measurement is height ? wide ? and depth
Answer:	I am unable to tell you what the current draw is. There isn't a separate refrigerator or freezer mode it just depends on how cold you set the temperature. Some real life examples with the contents already frozen and the temp set at zero I was able to leave the unit (not running) for up to 3 hours in 80 degree temps and not have more that a 10 degree rise in temp. The unit worked great on my 3 month trip around the USA and will be using it on all further trips.
