Answer:	The rollers are just over 5 1/2 inches long. The opening at the largest setting (#1) is about 3/32nds (not quite an 1/8 of an inch). At an 8 setting it looks about 1/32nd wide. (I don't have a set of feeler gauges to get an accurate measurement.)

Answer:	No, it's bigger than the widemouth of the jar. I love this whisk, it's solid, quality and recommended.

Answer:	Their website says birch. It is quite strong. I've put this through 10 to 12 cups of flour at a time mixing dough. It is beautifully smooth. I've also thrown it in the drawer with other utensils and have not observed any damage to the wood. I have not had to "baby" this utensil.
Question:	Has anyone had trouble with the coating chipping
Answer:	Yes, 6 cups of flour is no problem for wetter recipes (a la 5 minutes a day). I have used the whisk also for drier recipes up to 4 cups of flour with no problems, and I would imagine 5-6 cups of flour isn't that much a stretch. I even use the whisk for sponges with equal success. I haven't tried the smaller one, but if you're using this for sponges or smaller amounts of flour I suspect that's the right tool for the job.

Answer:	I have one saved for a gift, still in package. There is no indication of "Made in........" I bought one about 3 years ago, and at the time I think something lead me to believe it was made in Poland. Regardless it is very well constructed. I like giving them as gifts.

Answer:	I do not think that the Danish Dough Whisk would work well for cutting butter into pie crust dough. I recently learned a new method of cutting in butter, but so far I have only used it for biscuits. Put your butter in the fridge for 20 minutes or more, then grate it into your flour mixture, stirring the mixture every so often.

Answer:	The KPRA & KSMPRA both come with 1 Roller & 2 Cutters (1 does spaghetti thickness, the other a fettuccine thickness), making it a 3-Piece Set. The difference is this....KSMPRA is supposed to be a commercial type Stainless Steel Set, whereas, the KPRA is all metal pasta set (& I believe more for home use). However, if make lot of pasta, I'd go for Stainless Steel commercial quality set (KSMPRA) instead. Answer:	Mine came with a vice clamp and it opens wide enough for me to use on my butcher block island. This island is much thicker than the Corian one I had in my other house.

Answer:	A small amount of salt added to the pasta mix will NOT weaken the gluten appreciably (always added to artisan bread dough) nor will it harm the texture or cause it to "disintegrate" while it is boiling. All of that may be scientifically accurate in its pure form, however if you want to add flavor to your pasta add some to the dough and a good bit of salt to the boiling water, but not so much as you would have added if making bland (saltless) pasta dough. In the case of using this machine, he harm in adding salt to the dough is that (over time) it will pit and eventually damage the surfaces of the machine... yes, even though it is "Stainless" steel.
