Answer:	these are amazing kitchen shears. I use them for all types of stuff. I would imagine cutting packaging tape would be an easy job for these, but any scissors are going to get some what sticky from the glue transfer. but they do come apart in the center nice and easy to wash or wipe off... good luck

Answer:	There were holes on the frame that you could use to attach a headboard, but they did not line up for me. I had a wood headboard so I attached a board brace across from leg to leg, drilled holes in the right place and attached the headboard that way. It was more trouble than I would have liked, but it worked.

Question:	dot they work well on fabric? and for a very long time
Answer:	These will cut anything! But probably not the best use for "dressmaking" as they are not shaped the same. but if you need to cut thick fabric, they are fine. I use them for cardboard, plants, packages. I love them so much I have an "upstairs" pair and a "downstairs" pair. But buy through Cutco for lower price.

Answer:	Technically yes you can take them apart but they are not the kind that easily pops off and on. There are 2 black round plastic caps on either side of the hinge that cover a screw that can be taken out to loosen/tighten the scissors or take them apart.

Answer:	I always separate the two parts and wash them by hand immediately after using and let them dry apart in the drying rack. Only takes a second. I do the same with all of my good knives. I have had some of them for 45 years and they are as good as new. Can't imaging why someone would want to let something so wonderful sit dirty in a dishwasher when it is so simple to wash in a second.

Answer:	Yes, they're really sharp and great for cutting through chicken or turkey.
Question:	what size are these scissors
Answer:	These excellent scissors are 9" long from tip of blade to the grips. The grip part interior is 2.75". If I measure one of the blades while held open by my man hand, 3" of blade is available. I recommend these scissors! Only cavet: separate and dry these scissors regularly.
Question:	Can these be put in dishwaher
Answer:	I have a pair of these scissors that I use constantly and run through the dishwasher at least 3-4 times a week and have done for over 6 years. Never a problem - no rusting, no dulling. I do separate the two blades and I run the heated dry cycle. The strictly decorative OXO logo just came off last week after all those washes.
