Answer:	Yes! That is exactly what I used it for. It works, but the only thing we find is the headboard is a little bit wobbly when you sit and lean on it. Not too much but enough to need to put a pad behind the metal bar to protect the wall (the headboard is metal) It saved me buying a brand new head board that's for sure!
