Answer:	Yes it is small but adequate. I did fruit pieces, chocolate pieces and liquids and all do fine if chopped small. Not as good as my Cuisinart ice cream make for adding ingredients but much better on making ice cream. The directions say use mix that is about 77 degrees. Not too cold. This is a nice departure from having to make the mix and chill it and the bowl for hours before making. It makes perfect ice cream! Right now my favorite kitchen gadget!

Answer:	no you cannot control the temp. also motor is not strong enough to completely freeze ice cream. Sides seem to get too cold and freeze the dasher to the sides before the inside mix can freeze.
