Answer:	Maybe. I would wonder how the plastic would hold up to the drilling and not crack. I don't think it would. As from the photo, the bottom of the toothbrush is in a receded area, that area containing any drippings, of which I have next to none. The receded area as is would contain any drippings, whereas drilling a hole would (presumably) allow any drippings to get onto the countertop. For me, it works fine as is.
