Answer:	I set my 8 cam system to record only when motion is detected and I can go back and view clips from a week ago. I imagine with a single terabyte drive you can get between 500-600 hours with the H.264 encoding. So long as its selective recording, such as motion detection, etc. For continuous 24/7 recording that you would probably want to add a 4 terabyte drive to achieve the estimated 600 hours that's advertised.

Answer:	They original 4 stay paired but u may have to re sync or it could just be too far away from monitor like mine so I got extending cable and antennas also my camera go blue every now and then like they update it’s usually 1/2 at a time but its right back up also check your fcc settings
