Answer:	Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.

Basically the powered antenna hooks to the RP-SMA slot, then has the powered hub, and then you put a % dbi antenna on it and it'll get 2x more antenna strength. Even 2x more then what you'll use for a higher DBI antenna. So if you use a 24dbi antenna, it'd more be like a 48dbi antenna. I use mine as an access point at the other end of the my house and gave it a slightly different name so I would know which device (my router also has wireless connectivity). I could always look at signal strength and tell the difference, but I like the slightly different name.

Answer:	I would like to give you some personal advice. Do not buy any type of Netgear extender. They do not work at all. What you need to do is get a expensive router that is the best thing for your Wi-Fi system. Amazon can supply you with that. Or go to Best Buy and test it out. Trust me extenders do not work. You’re throwing your money away.

Answer:	Try using the extender's IP address - just enter 192.168.1.250 in the browser window, while the unit is powered and in close proximity to your router, which should be powered also, of course !

Answer:	I would like to give you some personal advice. Do not buy any type of Netgear extender. They do not work at all. What you need to do is get a expensive router that is the best thing for your Wi-Fi system. Amazon can supply you with that. Or go to Best Buy and test it out. Trust me extenders do not work. You’re throwing your money away.

Answer:	Try using the extender's IP address - just enter 192.168.1.250 in the browser window, while the unit is powered and in close proximity to your router, which should be powered also, of course !

Answer:	It depends on the area you need to cover. I have three in my home and this works great. I just added internet to my cottage an hour away. I put one unit there. It is more than adequate. Also it was really easy to add another network. I was done before the installer was out the driveway.
