Question:	Can you turn it upside down to shake what is inside without it leaking
Answer:	No, a small card sent with the pitcher says it is not dishwasher safe.
Question:	Where is it made
Answer:	Manufacturer says will withstand temperatures up to300 degrees. A microwave can reach temperatures above that so I would leave it in for very long. Actually I don't think I would put in n microwave for more than 10-15 seconds which might not serve your purpose.
Question:	can this pitcher be used to boil water on an electric stove
Answer:	I can't speak for the lid, but, the filter looks like the same one for a coffee press i have. So, i would say the filter is replaceable.
Question:	How wide is the top opening
Answer:	Hight with lid on is 9 1/4 inches. Remove the lid and it is 8 1/2 inches. I like the pitcher very much. The handle looks slender (fragile) from a side-view picture, but it is really quite sturdy and wider than you might expect. It is large enough for comfortable use.

Question:	Is it microwave safe? With the metal parts removed, of course
Answer:	No, it will not fit a 5-6 inch mouth jar. This item is for the lid and the jar together. If you want to use the lid on another jar, it must be a wide mouth mason jar. It will not fit any other jars. Thank you, Matt Forward Products
Question:	Can you get a replacement lid or the mesh filter
Answer:	I use mine to make sun tea every few days, it works perfectly. I leave the flip top lid slightly open so no pressure builds. I'm on here now because after I make sun tea I put in freezer to cool and I forgot it yesterday and it exploded LOL. Time to buy a new one.
Question:	What is the height
Answer:	Yes, I pour boiling water into room temp canning jars all the time with no issues. The jar will get hot though, so don't handle without mitts. I might be concerned about putting the plastic cap on directly after filling with hot water, as the plastic might not fare as well as the glass.
