Answer:	Biodegradable bags are actually not a good solution since they create methane gas when they break down which is a terrible greenhouse gas. BEST OPTION is to use plastic bags made from post consumer content (sounds crazy, I know). Or you can give you pet food bags, or other large bags a "second life" and use those when you have them as well to bag up your trash since they are larger. Again, biodegradable is not the answer, post-consumer plastics (for this purpose) is the best solution.

Answer:	There is a subtle but important difference. **Compostable** products are organic and need a mildly aerobic and moisture-regulated environment to degrade to beneficial organic re-use end point. Think food scraps, leaves, or grass clippings. Otherwise, the composted organic will putrefy or rot. You can use the composted byproduct as further nutrient amendment. **Biodegradable** means they can be readily broken down by an range organisms and conditions to yield energy for the microbes - not necessarily a re-usable organic amendment for subsequent re-use.

Answer:	It states it meets astm d6400 specs. However the more I looked into this company the less staisfied I am this is a truly compostable product. I found others customers who purchased stating the same. These are made in China and my on-line research shows they never publish the ratings or specs. I noticed also while a number of Amazon pages show 1 and 2 stare reviews they are deleted. Im just not 100% sure but will not take a chance and chalk up to lesson learned and make another purchase. .

Answer:	Not really. It isn't bigg enough. There is a little removable tray on the inside that you take out when emptying. This also means the tray needs to be cleaned :(. It works good in my bathroom but I can't even fit a empty toilet paper roll in there. The lid won't close all the way.
