Answer: the ps5 doesn't support 1440p currently so it would be useless to get this. id advise you to either get a 4k or 1080p monitor because sony hasn't integrated qhd support.

You can try using a different HDMI cable to connect to your PS5 to see if it will fix the EDID issues. If it does not, then Sony may need to issue a firmware update to fix the bad EDID handshake causing the system to not recognize that the monitor is capable of 120hz
