Answer:	Yes it should. The iPhone 5 is listed at 2.31 inches wide and this mount is listed as supporting phones from 2.3 inches wide so it should fit fine. She uses it with an iPhone 8 Plus with a case that holds 4-5 credit card-type cards. So it’s bulky, yet I t held the phone securely. So I think it is worth $25. I’m hoping that whatever broke has been improved. But even if it didn’t, if it lasts another 18 months she’ll be happy. She has a 2016 CRV and she placed the pad on the flat surface in front of the secondary screen.

This pad.it is sticky rubber on the back (no adhesives) Just sticky if you are familiar with kid toys you toss at the wall and stick, you will be familiar with this process. The top side is sticky as well, which lends its self well to items you want on the dash. And have the item hold still - ie. Sunglasses. I place my cell phone on the pad and put it in speakerphone mode. You can drive around as many corners you like and everything will hold still! In fact, I only put my phone in contact with the outer 1 inch of the pad. It holds great. The pad is so sticky it is tough to pick up, if the back of my phone has been in full contact.That is a good thing! It really holds my phone in place. Answer:	The 2 posts on this can be set different at different widths. There are 5 slots on each side of the base to accommodate these various widths. The base itself 7 x 4.25 inches. At the bottom of the post is a cut out slot to lay the cell phone across. The bottom of the slot is 3/8 inches. My gps is 5/8 inches. Because the slot was flexible, I was able to fit my gps in it. It fits pretty tightly. I don't know for sure if your gps will fit. I bought it mainly as a cell phone holder.
