Question:	Why is this unavailable everywhere? Has it been discontinued? Is there a newer model? Thank you
Answer:	The G9 is not discontinued. Over the summer, Samsung had some quality control issues where the light was bleeding through the panel/bezel, which caused them to pull units and re-inspect/re-package them again. You'll know you got a repackaged one if you see a small blue circle sticker on your box and if it looks like the bottom was re-taped (like mine was). As of now (Sept/Oct 2020), they are starting to come back into stock more often on Amazon once a week, but it's best to set up an alert/email notification on Amazon or via nowinstock or an extension, as it sells out quickly. Usually within a few hours, especially now at the new lower 1349 price point. There is also a "business" class monitor of the G9 that is very similar to this model number. Not much is currently known about it.
Question:	did they fix the flickering issue? or should wait for 2021 version
Answer:	I updated firmware to 1008.1 for the G9 but still get minor flickering here and there when adaptive vsync is on. Enabling vrr fixes the flickering but causes stuttering. Bought a good quality dp 1.4 cable that will be coming in tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I may consider contacting samsung for repair/replacement. I know there are some that have bought this monitor with no flicker issues. Its certified as gsync compatible so it should be flicker free but unfortunately it's not. Never had that flicker issue with my previous gsync monitor that I've used for the past 5 years.

Question:	Can I use it with my mac pro pc
Answer:	Yes, basically the ability is there you only need to sort out how. If your Mac Pro has either HDMI or Displayport then all you need to do is plug it into your computer and you're good to go. If you don't have HDMI or Displayport connections on the back of your Mac Pro, then you'll need to use one of the adapters sold on Amazon to convert from HDMI or Displayport to Thunderbolt. You can search for "Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter" on Amazon to find them. Currently I have two of these monitors running on my Macbook Pro on a mount and connected via HDMI to an adapter I bought here that accepts two HDMI in and has one Thunderbolt out.

Answer:	the only benefit is price. higher refresh rate monitors cost more than ones with normal refresh rate such as 60 hz. if your computer hardware does not have the power to drive your game above 60 fps at the resolution setting you prefer, a 120 hz monitor would be a waste of money. sort of like a Z rated tired installed a hybrid car that can only do 110 mph; it's performance you pay for that's sitting there not being used. on the other hand, if your hardware can push your game above 60 fps, even if it's only 62 fps, any frame rate exceeding the refresh rate of your monitor will result in image tearing, and it's going to look horrible.

Answer:	You can get the card and monitor to refresh @ 144hz but you wont have the frame rate to benefit from it. I have 1080ti and 32gb ram and struggle @ 4k. 2k can be done with is great cuz it's a 2k monitor. 2K with HDR looks good on games that support it.
Question:	can the monitor accept a vesa mount
Answer:	This is not a 4K monitor. It is a 1440. The PS4 Pro will work on it but you will not be at 4K. As a matter of fact I do believe the this monitor only does 1440 @ 144hz via the display port. HDMI only does 1080 @ 60hz.

Answer:	The response time is supposed to be 4 ms. I really have no idea whether it is that fast or not because I'm not that fast.
Question:	With the stand removed (using vesa mount) I am seeing that part of the stand still remains. That part doesn't extend below the bottom does it
Answer:	The stand on the back does come off, but it does require taking the back off the monitor. Took about 15 minutes to accomplish this, and I have it on an arm that mounts to the desk.

Answer:	This monitor CANNOT be used with a standard VESA mount. It needs an adapter like https://www.amazon.com/Gladiator-Joe-Monitor-Compatible-U32R590C/dp/B0853BKGC2/ref=sr_1_1 (though the adapter is pricey). Note I haven't tried the adapter yet, but I just ordered one and it should arrive in a couple of days.
