I suspect that Nuance thought this microphone was so special that they could use it to force people to purchase the Dragon Medical product so they limited the programmable buttons to the medical product line and basically sacrificed sales. Having said that, in my opinion, this microphone is overprice and falls short of being ideally suited to Dragon. I recommend contacting me directly at (615) 884-4558 x1 for additional information. For example, the Philips LFH-3500 and the new Grundig SonicMic 3 include programmable buttons but are more accurate, include a number of additional perks and can be used over a distance. Answer:	In my experience this would produce a mess. Dragon is intended to be used by *one* person. You train it to recognize what you mean by what you say. Dragon 13 is said to be excellent (I use an earlier model that's very good), but can't really be used to catch several voices. And don't forget some people will be interrupting each other, talking over one another, and so on! Dragon has no way to sort that out.

Answer:	So much of that depends on other noises in the room. If room is quite with not other sounds such as people, air conditioning, etc. you will be able to get farther away. Of course the farther away you get will reduce the clarity and quality.
