Answer:	The 115115 HEPA replacement filter will fit the WAC9500 unit if you first remove the complete original filter cartridge that came with the 9500. Insert the 115115 filter into the unit fist (where the cartridge used to be) and then insert one of the black carbon filters so that the black carbon filter is facing the front of the unit and is on top. You should replace the black carbon filter once every three months which is why you get four of them when you purchase a 115115 filter

Answer:	This is one of those "fine print" things. The estimates are based on an average. This would have been exactly the same problem no matter what brand you had purchased. If you live alone in a 600 sqft apartment, yeah, you'll go the full six months. But 70% of household dust is actually skin and hair cells that we shed. So if you have a spouse, children, and pets, just start dividing. In my case, I expect to see 2-3 months on the HEPA filter and 1 month on the charcoal filter. You can recover some of that if you vacuum the filter from the intake side.

Answer:	Those are carbon sheets. They go in front of the HEPA filters. As soon as you take the Air Filter Unit's cover off, you will see the black, thin, prefilter. If there is none there, you need to place one there. There are four plastic tabs, 2 per side, that help secure the prefilter.

Answer:	Hello, from what I read in some honeywell air purifier docs the average suggested use is about 3 months and because you have dogs. Be mindful of the time span of the filters.
