User questions & answers

Question: How long does it record for
Answer: Yes! You can wear it around your neck and crossbody.
Question: Can this be view on phone
Answer: When I bought mine I did my research online the size of my camera and and the size of the case. If u think it's the same size then??? If not u can always return.
Question: Is this an outdoor camera that can take the elements in North Dakota
Answer: The snaps are not all together that strong. So letting it hang down runs the risk of it getting knocked off. It is made it is not soft leather and doesn't flop over and hang down, but because it is stiff leather, tends to get in the way of either the lens or the view panel. It is small, so I usually unsnap it and put it in my pocket if I am planning to use the camera. Not perfect, but better than nothing for camera storage.
Question: If I mount camera on ceiling, can the camera or the monitor be adjusted so the picture is right side up on monitor
Answer: It didn't even fit the camera it was intended for. Complete garbage.

GE Security 60-783-02 SuperBus 2000 RS-232 Automation Module

UTC Formerly GE Security/Caddx 60 783 02 SB2000 AUTOMATION MODULE RS232

  • GE Security 60-783-02 SuperBus 2000 RS-232 Automation Module

User questions & answers

Question: Does this module allow me to get alarm notifications when sensors are tripped
Answer: Yes, this module communicates with the alarm panel, but is not meant to monitor alarms. It will recognize all sensors, but only when paired with an interface to the module via RS232 handshake.
Question: Is it wireless
Answer: No. It connects to your alarm panel using a 22GA 4 Conductor wire. Connect to your computer using a STRAIGHT THROUGH serial cable. I connected mine to an IP to Serial converter and then plugged it into a switch I have near the panel to get it onto my home network. If you mount the SuperBus AM close to your computer just use a serial cable (if your computer has serial port). You may be able to use serial to USB to go directly into computer, I'm not sure, didn't try it.
Question: How do I connect it to my concord 4 panel to get it to work? What else do I need besides the rs232 cable and a home controller
Answer: The module comes with the instructions. It is pretty straightforward to connect it up, just 4 wires, 2 for power, 2 to connect to the A/B SuperBus lines. I recommend powering down the circuit to the alarm panel at the breaker and disconnecting the backup battery before connecting it up. For me, once I connected it and powered all back up again, the panel automatically recognized the module. Note that the panel will start beeping periodically if your home controller isn't sending a message to it every so often to tell it everything is alright. This is a security feature to prevent someone from tampering with it and I don't believe you can stop it other than having your controller send the appropriate sequence. Note, if your controller stops sending this for any reason, it will cause the panel to start beeping your control pads (very very annoying). I use HomeSeer and it has a plug-in that handles all this automatically in the background. If your controller is going to sit close enough to the panel, all you need to do is connect the module to a COM port on the controller and direct your controller software to that port to communicate with it. If it isn't going to be that close, you will have to figure out how to get the communication to the controller. RS-232 doesn't work very well over long distances. In my case, my house is wired for Ethernet and the patch panel for this is right next to the alarm panel. So I got an RS-232 to Ethernet bridge and set up the HomeSeer plug-in to communicate with that over the network. You will have to evaluate how to make it work in your house. Best of luck.
