Answer:	I am not sure what Dee F means by 'direct view' and 1080p' and '1080i'. I used this device through my laptop using the appropriate downloaded software from Celestron to record the images for later analysis. It worked well for me, and easily set up .

At 1000X magnification, you would need to immerse the light path in oil to prevent refraction of light causing blurring of the image. For Best Results:

1. Place the base of the microscope flush against a flat viewing surface
2. Ensure the LED lighting is switched on
3. Start focusing on the lowest magnification setting (60x)
4. Once you have a clear view of your subject, increase the magnification to your desired level (you may need to slightly adjust the focus again slightly)

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

Answer:	Theoretically, yes. It's stated power is more than enough. But good luck with that. The quality, focusing, and zooming is terrible.
