| Answer: | This a 3g phone and from my experience I have only been able to locate 3g service from AT&T on it in the US. With T-Mobile I have only seen it work as a 2G phone in the US. 1900 MHz is the only operating Frequency T-Mobile recognizes 2g on in the US. If towers in your area operate on 1900 MHZ Frequency in the US it will work as 2g phone in your area. Note: 1. I have seen it locate 3g on with T-mobile service in the US with it's status bars, However the phone does not function (no calling or texting) when connected. Again I believe this is because of the Frequency the phone and the local T-Mobile network operates on. Note: 2. As others have stated "#1 USIM slot has 3G capability. 2nd slot is only for GSM(2G)". So no matter what your service providers or local network has for coverage in the area if you have the sim card in the #2 slot you will only receive 2g coverage. |
