Answer:	I think 8 is a great age for this toy. My 4 and a half year old just made his first working combination on his own after having the toy for 6 months. I find the toy very entertaining and potentially challenging as an adult. Its a quality toy with many possibilities. I would think a 10 year old would still be pretty engaged with this toys. All ages that have used it at our house really enjoy it.

Answer:	There are 10 marble balls included. This marble run model kits has everything you need to put it together. All you need is patience and concentration.

Answer:	I don't have it in front of me right now but estimate that its 10 inches long 8 inches wide and 8 inches tall my 11 year old loved putting it together it also had extra parts I would buy this brand again.

Answer:	You just need to crank to carry the balls to top of the stairs lift and it will roll along the track without any help
Question:	Where is Piece D13? I cannot find it and need it to complete the final step
Answer:	I have not done this particular model, but in the past I have thrown away parts of the board thinking that all the pieces have been extracted. Low and behold what I threw in the trash had a critical small part contained in the cutout. You may have done this also. My advice to you in the future is to have a designated trash bag devoted to the model kit that you do not empty until kit is completed. This is what I have done and let me tell you, just this week I picked a part out of the trash that I looked high and low for. Good luck and perhaps you will find that part.

Answer:	On the opposite side of the piece you remove to open the box you need to lift up the piece of wood that hangs down and that will allow the top piece with the knob to go all the way back so you can close it back up.

Answer:	Hold the box in the position with the knob on top (like the picture). There are three movable pieces on top, one side has more seams than the other. Maneuver so the side with the most seams pulls upward a small amount. Then slide the center piece into the newly available side. Use your nails to pull up he other end. The push middle piece to that newly available space. The other end can then be pulled up and off. The center piece slides through the newly available space revealing a hidden compartment. But it is certainly ABSOLUTELY possible to make up your own tracks and combine sets or parts of the expansion packs. And that's when the real fun starts!Little kids will do well with simple linear tracks but this set is capable of much more sophistication when you learn what each specialized block does. They are packed with function on their top and bottom halves and from every side to direct marbles through the runs. Answer:	The pieces don’t lock together with any friction, so they are pretty fragile — needs a firm surface like hardwood floor or tabletop. Creations can’t be moved whole or they’ll collapse. It has caused some heartache when overzealous hands knock it down when loading marbles. Our 7 year-old can manage it well, but our 3 year-old tends to wreck it accidentally; It’s a great, well-made toy that they love, but I would just know that you may have some frustrations with your 4 year-old.

Well worth the money because it keeps it moving at a consistent speed and the marbles don't come off the track as often. I am thinking of buying this one from ROKR and see if I can modify it to work with a Marbleocity motor. Try the Marbleocity one first the have 2 large and 2 small and you can hook them together. The instructions a clear also. I think an 11 year old could build the Marbleocity game.
