Answer:	Yes, it does come with the pump; however, my advice is getting a larger pump, as the pump that comes with the pool won't be strong enough. Pool holds almost 1000 gallons and the pump that comes with it takes 3 hours for that amount of water to filter. The pump only does about 300 gallons per hour.

Answer:	The pump that comes with this pool is inadequate. I purchased a BESTWAY 1000 GALLON FLOWCLEAR SAND FILTER PUMP, it uses 1 1/4 hoses, which is what the pool uses, plumbs right up. Many sand filters use the larger 2" hoses, they require a conversion kit, you literally have to cut the pool liner holes larger to accomodate these fittings. Can be done, I have. This is my second pool about this size and I have done it both ways. I currently use the above mentioned filter with the smaller hoses, it was easy and does a fine job for this pool size. Mine is 9x6, a larger pool likely needs a larger filter and the adapter kit for larger hose size. You will have to look around for this filter, Google it. The Intex filters use 2" hoses, my Intex pump lasted 2 seasons, wintered inside. I like, as do my dogs, this pool, well made, not very large but... Hope this helps.
