Game Setup
Sort the village cards into 5 stacks according to the color on the front. In each stack the card with the number value 4 should be on the bottom, then the card with 3 and on top the card with 2.
Place 5 citizen cards (one under each stack of village cards). Place the remaining cards face down to the left.
Place penalty cards a little further away as a face-up pile to the right of the citizen cards leaving a spot for a discard pile.
A players turn consists of 3 steps: (1) Roll the Dice
The following rules apply when rolling the dice:
- You may roll a maximum of three times.
- After each roll you may put as many dice as you like aside and roll again with the remaining dice.
- You may also decide to reroll dice that were set aside earlier.
Step (2a) Acquire new citizens
If you can fulfil the conditions of one of the face-up citizen cards with your dice result then you may take this card. If you can fulfil the conditions of multiple cards then you must decide on one of them. The cards that you collect during the game are collected face-up in front of you, in your kingdom pile.
For your kingdom to be successful you not only need to attract lots of citizens, but also establish new villages. If there is a citizen card that you can fulfill the requirements for underneath a village card of the same color then you can take the top village card as well as the citizen card. Both are placed face-up on your kingdom pile. The village card is placed under the citizen card.
Step (2b) Take penalty card (Scoundrel)
Does your dice result not let you fulfill the requirements of any of the face-up citizen cards? Then you need to take the top penalty card and place it on your kingdom pile. The minus points listed on the scoundrel will be deducted from your victory points at the end of the game. You must also place the right-most face-up citizen card face-down on the discard pile.
Step (3) Fill up the row of cards
There is now one empty space in the row of face-up citizen cards. Move all cards left of the empty space one spot to the right, so that the empty space is now under the first village card pile. Place a new citizen card from the draw pile face-up in this space.
You then pass the dice to the next player and your turn is over.
Arrogant elf
You must be able to create a run of numbers, on as many dice as pictured, i.e. the numbers rolled must be consecutive.
Effect: When it is your turn again and this card is on top of your kingdom pile then in this turn you may roll the dice four times instead of only three times. At the latest after the fourth roll, the number of points will be added together.
Grumpy Dwarf
The number of dice pictured on the card needs to show the pictured number.
Strange mushroom goblin
The number of dice on the card needs to show the pictured color. The player decides on the color. They do not need to decide on the color in advance.
Talented sorcerer‘s apprentice
The number of dice on the card needs to show the pictured colors.
Effect: If you get this card you may take another turn once your turn is completed.
Cuddly Orc
With your dice result you need to create the number pairs or groups: each symbol stands for a number of your choice. It should be noted that the different symbols may not be the same number. You can decide which number is represented by each symbol. The number of dice on the card show how many dice are needed.
Busy Fairy
The number of dice on the card needs to show the pictured colors.
Special points: The more fairy cards you collect, the more victory points you receive for each fairy card at the end of the game. For one fairy card you receive one victory point, for two fairy cards you receive two victory points per fairy card, and so on.
The Hypnotist
The sum of all the dice may not add up to more than 12.
Effect: If you can take this card then as a bonus you may also take the citizen card (including the matching village card if applicable) that is located to the right of the hypnotist. If the hypnotist is to the very right of the row you do not receive an additional card.
Dragon
The sum of all 6 dice must be equal to or greater than the stated value.
Effect: If you take this card you must give it to one of the other players. They must place it face-up on their kingdom pile. At the end of the game the minus points will be deducted from this player‘s score.

| Answer: | There are quite a few differences! The original version has only one size of wall card and makes only one tower. The super battle (SB) version has 2 wall heights allowing for multiple connecting towers and more strategy/options in how you place your longer floorcards. It also introduces 3 new characters in addition to Rhino hero. In the original version there was only one rhino hero and the floor cards determined when he moved (always up). In the SB version, each player has a character to move and the roll of the dice determines whether he goes up or down. The player with the highest super hero also gets to hang onto the Super hero "medal" and whoever has it at the end of the game wins! Finally, the SB version introduces spider monkeys, for an extra dexterity challenge. Certain floor cards require that you hang a spider monkey on the tower during your turn. |

Tips:
The game can be made more difficult by having the game board show less than 10 build points. At the start of the game arrange the three base pieces however you want. If only the red starting points are shown then there are only 5 points and you have chosen the most difficult starting setup.
... and/or by only allowing only one hand to be used for building. And it's even more difficult if players are only allowed to use their less dominant hand!
The game is more varied if you combine it with the original game "Rhino Hero"(item no. 004789). The walls from this game can be used as short walls. And if you use the additional Rhino Hero figure you can play with 5 players!
Preparation
HOW TO PLAY!

- To start, each player draws a card to let them know which colors of snails they want to win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place podiums inside the tin. Don't show anyone!
- Roll two dice and decide which dice is for a snail and which dice is for where the snail has to go. The snails crawl over each other on the race up and over the magnetic tin to the three winner's podiums to receive the most points.
- Land on top of another snail to 'freeze' him in his tracks until the top one jumps off (max 2 snails on one space). Additionally once a snail lands on a space then the space turns the color of the snail!
- Players don't know the winner until three snails occupy the podiums and players reveal the color of snails on their cards drawn at the start of the game.
- Snail Sprint is sure to keep 2-4 players ages 5+ on their toes for about 15 minutes per game.

A clever roll and move game for 2-4 players ages 5 +
On your turn, you will roll both dice. You will select one of the colors you rolled as the snail you move, and you will move that snail to the next space with the other color you didn't select. For example, say I rolled yellow and blue. I could choose to move the blue snail to the next yellow space or the yellow snail to the next blue space. The catch is that if there is a blue snail in front of the yellow snail without any intervening blue spaces, the yellow snail will actually land on TOP of the blue snail, locking Blue down until Yellow moves again.
At the start of the game, you want to be sly about what color snails you prefer. If your opponents figure out that you want Green to win, they are not going to help you move him along.
Two of the same symbols:
Place the snail with this symbol on the next space of the track with the same symbol. It doesn't matter whether other symbols are depicted on this space.
Example: Hanna rolled two stars. She places the yellow star snail on the next space with a star.
Two different symbols:
Select a snail with one of the symbols and move this snail to the next space of the other symbol rolled.
Example: Tom rolled a triangle and a flower. He decides on the purple flower snail and places it on the next space with a triangle.
Warning, snail pile-up!
If a snail is already on a path space, the symbols on the path space are now blocked. Instead now the snail’s symbol is now what matters. If a player has rolled this symbol, they place their snail on the snail with the symbol that had been rolled. (Snail towers with more than two snails can result).
Example: Laura rolled a circle and a cloverleaf. She places the pink circle snail on the green cloverleaf snail because there is no space with a cloverleaf between both snails.
If a snail is under another snail, it is blocked and cannot be played.
The path continues from the board up the side of the tin! The gravity on the vertical tin wall is simply too strong to place a snail on the shell of another snail. The snails gather momentum and crawl over their opponents and proceed to the next space that shows what was rolled on the dice.
Example: Kai rolled a star and a flower. With the yellow star snail, he jumps over the purple snail and places the star snail on the next space with the flower symbol.
Scoring
Turn over your race cards and see which of the depicted snails has made it to the podium. If the snail in first place is on your card you are awarded 3 points, second snail is 2 points, third is one point. Add your points together. The player with the most points wins the game. There can be multiple winners in the event of a tie.
Hannah's race card
Hanna gets 3 points for the blue snail. For the yellow and orange snail, Hanna unfortunately gets no points.
Tom's race card
Tom gets 2 points for the pink snail. For the purple snail, he gets no points and for the blue snail 3 points.
Hanna has a total of 3 points and Tom has 5 points. This means that Tom wins the snail race.
