Answer:	That's all I can think of. But they're rather large pieces. The top red piece is where the half circle red wooden piece slides in, and that whole piece is plastic and removable so all the wooden shapes can come back out. I bought this for when my kid gets bigger and can use pincer grasp and sort better; he's only 7 months but I wouldn't mind him playing with the blocks individually. He plays with plain wooden blocks sometimes now. It's assembled very sturdily.

I'd say go to Lowe's or Home Depot and ask in the paint department for a recommendation on what to use with cedar. Whatever you use, it should be renewed every few years to maintain efficiency.

Answer:	As in the pipe "PVC"? And that other word, it's a chemical right? I have no idea. We didn't really read the package because my daughter just really wanted to play with it. I just know my daughter likes it. She plays with it for a good 15-20 minutes while we drive around town. We keep in the car mostly. Sorry I couldn't answer your question. Should be pretty safe though... I mean I ate Mexican candy growing up and apparently that has lead in it... and I turned up fine.... I guess.
