Answer:	No, the description is wrong as I believed the same thing and purchased this. All to find out that the crankshaft side will only fit an 1" shaft. They did not include any adaptors to change the size so unless you have a 1" to 5/8" keyed adaptor, this will not work.

Answer:	We had the same problem with ours. I purchased a new charger and a couple new batteries and turns out it was the charger and not the battery. Now we have 3 working batteries. Cost about $20. Good luck. It’s a fun little boat!
