Answer:	I play it with my four year old granddaughter and while she is exceptionally brilliant :-) she wins as often as I do. So yes, it is challenging for both kids and adults. In all seriousness, I have been playing card and board games with my granddaughter since she was two so she is really good at games and it is definitely not over her head.
Question:	Suppose you have an open pathway that continues off the end of the board, and it enters back onto board on the other side. Can you continue on
Answer:	Although the rules re-place a player pushed off the board onto the tile that was added to the board (and caused the player to be pushed off the board), this is the only way they allow players to go from one side of the board to the other without going through the maze. That said, you should (and I will) try this as a house rule and see if it makes the game play better.

Answer:	Depends on the 5 year old. If they are board game savvy, they will love this game. It takes a little guidance. Our daughter started playing it when she was 6, but she was playing chess at 3. It is a great game. We love it. Buy it now and take a chance and your five year can grow into it.

Answer:	My 13 yo wasn't all that into it, probably because he likes his video games more. But, my 7 yo loves this game, although he needed a little help getting the pieces to slide and such, and it lasts quite awhile, which makes younger children not sit still through the whole thing very well. More suitable for the older child. I think it is a wonderful game and very well made. The feel and look of the whole game board and pieces is just of high quality materials. Even the box is very heavy made. This is the second game I have purchased from Ravensburger and I am very impressed with the quality and fun. I think any children above 8 or 9 years old would enjoy this game. It does take quite awhile to play. It is not a 15 minute game. What I like is that when you place the cards on the board, it is random, so you never play the same game twice. Give it a try, I think you'll be impressed.

Does this require batteries

Answer:

The game easily takes up a 3'-4' round table, which is what we play on. In order to avoid running off the table, or having to move the puzzle around to accommodate more pieces being added to one path or another, we have a house rule that says the puzzle cannot ever be moved, and that any piece played on a path must leave room for other pieces to be added later. In other words, no trapping of open paths is allowed. Sometimes that ends the game before we use up most of our tiles. But then we just see who has the fewest tiles left, declare that person the winner, and start another game! Also, we shuffle and deal out all the tiles, face down, in the beginning, so that each player has his own smaller pile to draw from. Then we each turn over the first ten of our tiles and go from there. We find that less destructive than reaching across the puzzle to pull from a central pile.

If they match, you keep the tiles and continue your turn until you do not find a match. Then it is the next players. Continue on until all tiles are matched. The player with the most tiles at the end of the game is the winner. There are several variations that can be played to customize for younger players, or to play solo. Question:	Where can i find replacement pieces for the game? Im missing the tokens
Answer:	All my children (and their friends and cousins) aged 2 to 10 play it, but it's most interesting to the 4 to 7 yr old segment.
Question:	How does this scale down to two players? I would primarily be playing this with one other person
Answer:	24 penguins, 1 3/4" tall each. Tekeli-li! Tekeli-li!
Question:	This or thinderbirds? which is easier, yet still has depth/strategy? i hear both are pandemic-ish
Answer:	Most are made in Germany. They are of very nice quality components and very strong boxes. They are some of our favorite game to play.
Question:	Is there an Abbott & Costello expansion in the pipeline for this game
Answer:	The plastic pieces look exactly like they do in the picture - all it is, is the plastic pieces snapped together so you're seeing the white plastic peeking through a tiny hole in the black plastic, that makes it look like an eye. It is a little weird looking but doesn't bother us at all or interfere with our enjoying the game. =)
