Answer:	It's the advertised thickness of 5/8" and has an appropriate "Goldilocks" firmness. I've used the thicker ~1" version at physical therapy sessions, and personally prefer the thinner 5/8" option.

Answer:	The mat comes rolled up, but it's still the width of the mat plus an inch or two. I love the mat! Comfortable, well cushioned, but it is a beast to carry without devising a way to wrap and secure it. Bungees do the job for me. A friend made a clip system for hers.

Answer:	I'm not 100% sure about carpal tunnel. My doctor recommended it to me for a torn ligament that needs surgery, but I'm allergic to anesthesia. It didn't help me at all, but the doctor knew that it might not. I will say this. It is very un-noticeable. In fact, it looks like a somewhat "rad" leather bracelet, the younger kids wear (anyone is a kid to me under 50). So it would give you support for any wrist injury or nerve situation, like carpal tunnel, if you want to wear it without everyone asking you, "What did you do to your wrist?" I didn't find it particularly comfortable, but I have a lot of swelling in my wrist. I'm no doctor, for sure, but it you want support without an ugly wrist brace, I don't believe it can hurt you. And support is still support, better than no support at all. My 2 cents. Hope it helps.

My wrist hurts, how do I know if it’s the TFCC?

Some common signs and symptoms of a TFCC tear are:

• Pain, localized to the ulnar (pinky) side of the wrist
• Pain that gets worse with simple gripping and rotation movements (opening a door or using a can opener)
• It normally does not swell.
• Clicking, snapping, or crackling (crepitus) These are not present in all patients with TFCC tears.
• Pain weight-bearing activities.
• Feeling of instability

Weight Bearing Test is the Best way to know to test if you have a TFCC tear.

The human wrist is capable of tolerating 60-120 lbs. of weight on each wrist. If your injury is to the TFCC and you're experiencing ulnar-sided wrist pain, you will notice that your uninjured wrist is normal and your injured wrist hurts when you push down on the scale.

1. Use a NON-digital scale

4. Stop at the edge of pain- any pain!

Answer:	No it is not leather at all. It is a fabric with inserts for support. It also runs a bit small around the arm for anyone without skinny arms. I liked it at first as it was lightweight, however the part of the brace was hard at the base of the thumb and began to cause a problem of pressure on the nerve at the base of my thumb. I had to quit wearing them...I had two of them. So it is best if you look for braces that have a soft cloth texture at the base of the thumb. Its bad enough having carpal tunnel without adding to it with more pain.
