| Answer: | Here is my saga, with the caveat that I am unusually sensitive to smells. - spritz with febreze = no impact - hand wash = little impact - machine wash = maybe getting somewhere, bit still smells strongly - bathed it in literally a half bottle of febreze = FINALLY got the smell out of the cloth body. The only problem is that the plastic parts are also emitting the smell. - hair dryer on high for what felt like forever to get it to outgas faster = smell is now relatively faint and moderately pleasant. I am no longer knocked over by entering my son’s room. Still smells. It’s not a bad smell and the company says it’s non-toxic (I believe that for what it’s worth, it didn’t give me a headache even at its strongest and most chemical smells will), but it’s intense. On the plus side, it has stood up to the process well, is super cute, and my son loves it. |
