User questions & answers
Question: | Does it let out propane when you hold the trigger down slightly or do you have to turn a knob to activate the fuel |
Answer: | Original poster is right. One time says 80 max lumens. Elsewhere says 100 max lumens. No straight forward information. Guess I’ll keep looking. |
Question: | Can you use propane with this torch |
Answer: | Yes, this light would be fine in the snow. |
Question: | Does this have separate orifices for mapp and propane? I have an older model that does and can only find the propane orifice |
Answer: | I don't know. I only use it during hurricane season, and I change the battery every year, so the battery has never died. Check with the seller or with Energizer. |
Question: | Will this attach to a Coleman 1lbs Propane Cylinder |
Answer: | Yes it is easy. Just unfold the strap holder and slide the cover clip |
Question: | It’s 19.9 pounds |
Answer: | i think this particular midel comes only in the green. A much less expensive model (without the red light) and just two settings of brightness comes in a beautiful blue color. That one is my go-to headlamp for most ordinary purposes. |
Question: | Can this be used to heat glass |
Answer: | Not since I purchased it. |
Question: | is this propane |
Answer: | That all depends on the types of batteries you use. The supplied batteries lasted me about 3-4 days. That's 5 hours a day or so is my guess. But with this type of device, unless you own stock in Energizer, you use rechargeables in them. I use 1,100 mah nimh in mine. For that you will get an average of 2-3 days easy before the light level runs down to far to be useful. I'd invest in some high quality rechargeables if I was you. At least 1,000 mah to be honest. Them 850 mah ones you get at most 2 days from them. So go for at least 1,000 mah rechargeables. But as I said it all depends on the battery type (not all batteries are made equally, even in the same class-so ur experience may vary) and the amount of hours used. But generally, you should get about 3 days out of the batteries, which isn't bad for this type of device. The LED's on it are pretty efficient. |
Question: | Is it pre filled with gas |
Answer: | Not that I’m aware of you may be able to ring each phone as each set is registered to ext 1-12 |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this torch adapt to a 20 pound |
Answer: | Yes it is plastic. The trigger as well as the gas adjustment valve is plastic. The photo is correct...both are blue plastic. Positive aspect: they work very well..smooth action Negative aspect: not sure how many falls or drops it could handle without failure. Hope that helps you |
Question: | Does it come with the holder? And can you use Map gas tank with it |
Answer: | Yes it has worked for me when upside-down. |
Question: | How hot does this torch get |
Answer: | Don't know, couldn't find "Made in China" anywhere. DID find "assembled in Mexico" which would point to USA origin. Commercial quality? Yes, I would say so. 5 stars in my book, a rare rating from a guy who uses tools all the time and knows a good tool when he sees and uses one. |
Question: | does this get the same high heat as the TS8000. Thank you |
Answer: | The regulator on this torch is made to fit the larger propane tanks. Ones you would find on larger barbeques or camp trailers, etc. It has a 7/8" left hand thread on the fitting that screws onto the tank. It will not fit on the smaller 1 lb. bottles. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How does this ship? ups fedex usps |
Answer: | I think that is the exact model I have. I am not at home right now, but when i googled a picture of the ts8000, it looks identical to the one I have. The bluefires work great |
Question: | Why are they so expensive? Can get them for less than $12 each in a store |
Answer: | It says right in the description of this product that it is not for searzall, plus the searzall description says propane only |
Question: | Does it have a screw on at the top to attach the torch |
Answer: | NO DO NOT TIP THE BOTTLE For 22.79 I bought the Worthington Cylinder 309336 Universal Torch Extension Hose Adapter This will enable you to put the flame to any you prefer with no danger of ruining your torch head or having a flash back into the tank = explosion. Mapp Gas and Propane Gas tanks should never tipped. There are particles that settle to the bottom of the tank, and also a separation of gases. It is NOT 100 percent propane when put into tank there is a very small percentage of other things that get placed into the tank when it if filled at the manufacture. The only way to keep yourself safe and your equipment safe is to use it in a correct way. There is also a preventive sealant coating put on the all parts of the torch head. that you can see with your eyes. Taking the parts apart lets the material travel through the torch and it will ruin the orings inside the torch head and then be a danger of gas leaking while in use. Remember orings only last for up eight years so even if your torch head is showing no signs of failing once it gets to eight years old your should replace the torch head for a new one. The can explode like a bomb if gas gets out the head and the gas is then ignited by a flame or heat source. You life and your family/friends life is worth the money spent every eight years for a new torch head. I;d like to see Worthington or Bernzomatic have a discount program for those that turn in an eight year old torch head that they registered at time of purchase and then the consumer would receive a loyalty discount coupon for a percentage off the purchase of a new torch head. It will cost some money for new torch heads every eight years, over your lifetime to be safe, but it is worth it, You are actually playing with fire ( in this case a potential bomb) if you do not. I have already tooken notice of the year and month purchased and will buy a new one eight years when needed. SO to recap amazon.com 22.79 for Worthington Cylinder 309336 Universal Torch Extension Hose Adapter The other two reviewers are WRONG about tipping the head and You can not tip any Propane or MAPP tank and have it be safe. Just the same with an oxygen tank you should never tip them or lay them on their side. My source the company itself www.bernzomatic.com customer service 866-928-2657 |
Question: | can these be refilled |
Answer: | TS4000 is on full blast when you pull the button; TS8000 has a valve that lets you adjust the flame size up or down as needed. I find the valve on the TS8000 is in an inconvenient location, accidentally adjusted by my hand while working. |

Answer: | These gloves are unlined, although they are relatively soft on the inside allowing for fair comfort with prolonged use. |
Question: | How does the bz4500hs compare to the t8000 with regard to heat intensity |
Answer: | They run a little tight "but" they stretch and relax. Jumbo size..for big hands! Hands stay warm and very comfortable. |
Question: | Are the 14 oz propane cylinders prefilled |
Answer: | According to the label in the glove, Jumbo is 2XL. They are slightly larger than an XL pair of these gloves I bought in a store which turned out to be a good thing. The XL version of this glove is a bit smaller than most XL size work gloves I have owned. The XL fit OK. It was a bit snug which made the XL better for picking up small items, but the wrist strap just barely reached my wrist bone and the fingers on the gloves were shorter than my fingers. This Jumbo, 2XL size fit more like most other XL gloves I have purchased. If you normally buy XL gloves and are looking for a loose fitting work glove. The Jumbo size is great. If you like your work gloves a bit snug so you can pick up small stuff, you might find the Jumbo size a bit too large but I think the Jumbo, 2XL is equivalent to an XL in most other leather work gloves. |
Question: | Is the container filled with propane gas? Empty containers |
Answer: | I would say yes they could be used to move logs in a fireplace, but not ones that are all charred and hot. I would suggest going with firefighter gloves maybe. These fell apart within a month of me doing logging for winter wood. |
Question: | Is the container filled with propane gas? empty containers? and is it shipped to korea? if it is shipped, how much is shipping |
Answer: | Not adjustable, but are well made of quality materials. |
Question: | Will this work with a mr heater buddy |
Answer: | I bought a large. They fit well and I normally do not wear a large size. |
