12 best razor saw with woods
Razor blades are an essential component of many shaving systems, particularly cartridge razors commonly used by men for shaving facial hair. These blades are designed for precise and comfortable shaving. Here is some information related to razor blades:
Cartridges and Refills: Razor blades are often sold in cartridges or refills that attach to the razor handle. These cartridges typically contain multiple blades, ranging from two to five or more, stacked closely together. The multiple blades allow for a closer shave by cutting hair at different levels.
Blade Types: Razor blades can come in various types, including single-blade razors (safety razors), double-edge blades, and multi-blade cartridges. Multi-blade cartridges are popular for their efficiency in achieving a smooth shave with fewer passes.
Sharpness and Durability: Razor blades are made from high-quality stainless steel and are precision-engineered to be sharp and long-lasting. The sharpness of the blades ensures a clean and smooth shave, while the durability means they can be used for several shaves before needing replacement.
Comfort and Irritation: Some razor blades are designed with features to reduce skin irritation and provide a more comfortable shaving experience. These may include lubrication strips that release moisturizing agents, such as aloe vera or vitamin E, to soothe the skin during shaving.
Compatibility: Razor blades and cartridges are typically designed to be compatible with specific razor handles from the same brand. This ensures a secure fit and proper alignment of the blades for an effective shave.
Disposable vs.Refillable: Some razors have disposable handles and cartridges, while others have refillable handles with replaceable cartridges. Refillable systems are more environmentally friendly as you only need to replace the cartridge, not the entire razor.
Variety of Brands: Various brands manufacture razor blades and cartridges, each with its own design, features, and price points. Some well-known brands in this category include Gillette, Schick, Wilkinson Sword, and more.
Subscription Services: Some companies offer subscription services where customers can receive regular shipments of razor blade cartridges, making it convenient to ensure you always have fresh blades available.
Maintenance: Proper maintenance, such as rinsing and drying the blades after use, can help extend the lifespan of razor blades and maintain their sharpness.
It's important to choose razor blades and cartridges that suit your personal preferences and skin type. Additionally, the number of blades, the lubrication, and other features can vary between different models and brands, so it's a good idea to explore options to find the one that works best for your shaving needs.

42 Teeth per Inch — 6-1/2" long blade with a steel back for added stability
Fine Kerf Universal Razor saws are great all purpose saws for modeling and woodworking. They cut balsa and other wood, plastic, copper and brass, while leaving smooth edges. Suitable for cutting most shapes and thicknesses. 11″ overall length. Cuts on the pull stroke.
Zona Saws are surprisingly affordable and offer precise cutting in a variety of specifications.
Cutting on the pull stroke: Pulling, rather than pushing the saw through the wood, puts tension on the blade and makes it less likely to bend. Pull stroke blades tend to be thinner than push stroke blades and leave a smaller kerf (width of cut). These blades make faster, easier, cleaner
cuts with finer control and less waste and less clogging yet can still rip and crosscut. A pull saw blade is ideal for precision woodworking, furniture making, craft and model making.
Cutting on the push stroke: A push saw may be preferred for more forceful cutting and for dovetails because sawdust is pushed out the other side of the cut so that the markings are not obscured –while a pull saw may pull sawdust toward you. A push saw is less steerable than a pull saw. This
can be useful because once a cut is started, it stays in a straight line.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the 10-inch model have replacement curved blades as the 7-inch model seems to |
Answer: | It's not a true flush cutting saw but depending on the specific position of the cut it will get very close to a flush cut. I think Zona saws are great generally better than xacto. There are true flush cutting saws available. |
Question: | Is the blade flimsy or thick like a knife? Does the blade bend when cutting |
Answer: | The width of the saw blade from teeth to the edge of the rib of the saw is 1 1/8 inch. |
Question: | Where is it made |
Answer: | The ".010 - inch kerf" is your answer. |
Question: | OK how much does it realy weigh ??? one guy says less then a pound the other says 3 pounds. Does anybody know |
Answer: | I use mine both ways with good results, but predominantly for cross cutting. The stiffener on the back pretty much limits use for ripping. Not to disagree with Old Sailor who probably has better eyes, but under my magnifying lamp it really appears to be a ripcut with no set. Whichever, they are very good and useful saws. I have been using them for 35 or 40 years. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will that hand saw I could buy rust |
Answer: | Incredibly easy and sharp. it's super flexible and great for cutting flush on wood. |
Question: | How long will it rust |
Answer: | There is no set to the teeth on this saw but I still put a sheet of paper under the blade when flush cutting. It is very sharp and very flexible so it is easy to wander off course. |
Question: | Will this product rust |
Answer: | This is a "Thin" about 6 inch long blade with saw teeth on both sides of the blade. It is Thin enough to be flexible. It is meant to be able to cut flush to a surface on such items as smaller dowels of various materials and light / thin metals like brass or aluminum. It could act like a hobby razor saw with a small miter box. I don't think it sturdy enough for cutting half inch wood, like cabinet trim or similar. |
Question: | How hard is the saw?Can we saw rough wood |
Answer: | Just checked mine.... slight variation in thickness along the blade length but measures out between 0.012.5" - 0.013" I have had no regrets with my purchase of this product for flush cutting dowels. aland au |

User questions & answers
Question: | Where is this saw made |
Answer: | I do not know if there is a replacement blade for the 10" model. |
Question: | Does it have an extension |
Answer: | It has a stiff blade. I used it to cut sago palms blocking the sidewalk where I run and it works great. It can also cut smaller tree branches. |
Question: | does the curved blade cut on the push and pull stroke |
Answer: | After moving from our 6th Street location early in 2000s, we shut down our forging processes due to increasing economic pressures and built our new manufacturing facility in Mexico. Customers still wanted good quality tools from Corona, however we saw the trend beginning to shift away from those willing to spend more on a tool made in the US in favor of lower-priced tools . We felt the shift in our business and like 90% of US manufacturing, had to look at alternative solutions to maintain our distribution partners and still be competitive in the marketplace. Mexico offered tremendous opportunities to control our product manufacturing processes and brand, while other parts of the world filled in our line for competitive market needs and completeness.During the changing economy in the early 2000s, Corona merged with our parent company, Bellota, which has been a family-owned business located in Spain, with over a century of experience in the tool business. It was an ideal partnership for us as they share the same core values as Corona. With our partnership, we are able to increase our purchasing power, buying many of the same parts for our tools, as well as utilize the seven manufacturing facilities located across the globe from our parent company. As family-oriented businesses, we source tools from suppliers throughout the world, never losing site of our commitment to quality. We have earned a reputation among overseas suppliers "...they are too picky on quality" as we will not sacrifice the reputation of our brand which has taken a century to build. Any tool that bears the Corona brand must first exceed our expectation of quality and offer the lasting performance that we expect, season after season.Best answer comes from their own website.........my best guess is it was made in Mexico, to tell you the truth I have used them so much over the years on my ranch, and they cut great and last a long time if taken care of. |
Question: | Can someone explain how to safely remove the saw from its holster |
Answer: | Just weighed mine: just under 10 oz. Corona RS 7265. Great little folding garden saw |

What is “SUIZAN“?
SUIZAN, a Japanese brand, creates the highest quality Japanese hand tools.
With a history of over 100 years, all of the processes are completed in one of Japan’s towns known for their craftsmanship: Sanjō in Niigata prefecture.
That’s why our products are highly appreciated by many woodworkers.
One of the Japanese Tools
There are a couple of differences between Western tools and Japanese tools.
In many cases, Japanese tools are lighter and simpler than Western ones because Japanese tools are minimally designed and there is no unnecessary waste.
Nowadays, the Japanese tools has become a popular tool in woodcrafting around the world due to its high quality.
Do you know about a “Pull Saw“?
This product is a pull saw.
Japanese saws cut materials via pulling and thus are called “pull saws.”
It requires less power, realizes exceedingly smooth and accurate cut, and results that the cutting-section is clean.
And particularly this saw's blade is sharper and thinner (0.02 inch), and has a greater number of teeth per inch (9 & 15 TPI) than comparable saws of its size.
This is a Ryoba Saw
A remarkable point of this Ryoba (Double Edge) Saw is that there are two blades in one saw - Cross-Cut and Rip-Cut.
Therefore you don’t have to change your tools: you only have to use it!
It is for time-saving and space-saving in your tool box.
If you have some difficulty using Western saws, once get to use a Japanese saw.
You will never go back to a conventional saw!
- JAPANESE STYLE PULL SAW: This product is a “Pull Saw.” What most people are used to are European saws, which cut materials via pushing, thus are called “push saws.” On the other hand, Japanese saws cut materials via pulling and thus are called “pull saws,” which is what this product is. In comparison to “push saws,” “pull saws” are lighter in weight, requires less power, and the resulting edge is cleaner.
- JAPANESE STEEL: All SUIZAN Japanese saws are consisted of top quality japanese steel. It uses high quality Japanese steel, which makes cuts to be sharp.
- MADE IN JAPAN: All SUIZAN products are manufactured in Japan by Japanese master craftsmen. With a history of over 100 years in making japanese hand tools, all of the process gone into making tools were completed in one of Japan’s towns known for their craft making tradition: Sanjō in Niigata
- DIVERSIFY YOUR WOODWORKING LIFE: No matter you are a master or a beginner in using saws, it gives you brand new experience from using traditional Japanese style saws and enables you to make a wider variety of woodworking products, thus change your life!
User questions & answers
Question: | Does the blade come with a cover to protect the teeth when not using it |
Answer: | I have cut 4X4 pine post to shape legs..it works perfectly fine. Be slow and it does its own work with super finish |
Question: | id like to buy all the suizan product line are the blades replaceable ? if so where can i order the Blades |
Answer: | Japanese saws are normally much too thin to track in a western mitre box .Also western saws you can alter the cut but japanese saws you can not .so if you go off course with a japanese saw it is better to start a different cut line. |
Question: | Hope long do blades last |
Answer: | It says 22 crosscut and 9 rip in the description. |
Question: | What other saws should i buy for a started set in addition to this saw |
Answer: | I don't believe there are any manufacturer's instructions in English. I own 3 Gyokucho Japanese Saws (including this one), and I found the best info regarding the proper use of this saw on that popular video site. Just do a search for "Using Japanese Pull Saws", and you will find a plethora of instructional videos. These saws do require a certain technique that is vastly different from their western counterparts, but once you see it done, you'll be able to start practicing it. And once you get the hang of it (mostly just a light touch and the proper cutting angle), you will really enjoy using this saw. |

User questions & answers

Answer: | China, and poorly made as well. The saw will arrive stuck in the case. |
Question: | is this price for one thing |
Answer: | No it does not have an extension. It is a basic close up cutting saw that works very well. If you want to get beyond your reachI would suggest another saw. |
Question: | Will this cut through bone |

Question: | What materials were used in making the handle for this saw? It is difficult to tell from the photos if the bands are bamboo, plastic or |
Answer: | I just received mine and had this problem. The blade was protruding from the end of the scabbard and I think it was forcibly inserted and become stuck. I tapped the protruding part of the saw blade with a hammer until it popped back in the scabbard. Now I can remove it without too much difficulty. |
