Answer:	I have had mine for a week. I purchased it because I wanted Jennifer McGuire’s heat gun. It gets EXTREMELY HOT! I’ve had a Martha Stewart heat gun for 3 1/2 years, and it worked okay, but I really wanted better embossing results. This is warping my paper (after preheating for 10 minutes) and melting plastic. Answer:	My hex bit says 2.0 on it. So im guessing 2mm as for the actual screw size i.e. 1/4 20 its probably a Metric 1 or 0. ACE hardware will have them in the Hillman fasteners section. The boxes will have a khaki/light brown/dark beige color you will have to bring the iron with you and test it out.

Answer:	I use both Ronson and Zipo fuel. I picked up a 290ml bottle of Ronson fuel in the plumbing section of my local hardware store. They indicated it was for torches such as the Lexivon.

Answer:	The firmware has been upgraded, but realize the firmware upgrades are freely available at https://github.com/Ralim/ts100/releases (probably from other sources, too) It's fairly simple procedure to connect it by usb to any PC (Windows, Mac or linux), and transfer a tiny file- that's it! Upgrades will continue to be developed (On #4 pre-release as of this writing). So f you can find the previous version at a discount it is certainly worth buying the cheaper version.

Answer:	The shaft is about 3.65mm in diameter. That's something like 9/64 of an inch, I guess. It comes to a fine point, how fine is hard to tell, probably about half a millimeter. Also, the part with the thread is 9mm.

Answer:	I have this soldering iron and I use genuine Hakko T18 tips also. The only difference between 900M and T18 tips is the overall width of the shank. T18 shanks are roughly 1.5 to 3 tenths of a mm wider, it depends on how much undersize the cheap tips are when you compare them. The 4mm hole on the cheap tips aren't all drilled to the same depth, so some will sit directly on the steel shaft that protrudes from the handle of the iron and surrounds the ceramic heater and some do not, leaving a small gap between the shank of the tip and the steel shaft. The Hakko tips leave a very small gap and sit directly on the tip of the ceramic heater, so don't over tighten the steel sleeve that holds the tip in place. Even when there's a gap with the cheaper tips you should not overtighten the sleeve, you risk breaking the ceramic heater. Just firmly finger tighten. Question:	I assume the blower is good for heat shrink? I would use the blower often and don't want to remove it each use - does the cap fit over it
Answer:	Yes, the cap fits over all the tips including the "blower". I don't know how effective that tip would be as a full time heatshrink heat source. It does work in a pinch if heating from below and rotating the shrink; however, a cheap heat gun would be much quicker if you have many to do.
