Answer:	The thickness is not published because the strength is not based on thickness, it is based upon engineering. For example, canopies from two different two companies can have the same thickness, but one is much stronger than the other due to how it is made.

Answer:	No, they are dumb lights that you have to manually turn on. You have to click a button to enable them, meaning I do not think you could put them on external timers. I am not sure how on the color temp, but they are bright. You have two LEDs, and you can theoretically make it look different by only turning on one of them - but you shouldn't expect many options for setting colors. However, if you want to add additional lights, I have four Phillips Play light bars in the hood above the tank, and these I have set for automatic lighting conditions. I then turn on the included lights (which are rough twice as bright as 4 Play bars) as well during the day. There is amble space if you want to put your own lights in addition to the included ones.

If you look at the edge of the card where the harness in the picture on this product description, there is a + on the bottom pin and an O (IO) on the top pin. The White plastic harness covers the lettering up a bit. The center pin would be the gnd. This is a guess.

Answer:	These sensors are actually omnidirectional. If anything, they are often a little too sensitive and respond to noise in the power supply.

Question:	My thermostat is only used for heating the house and only has 2 wires, a red and white. Can i still use this ecobee
Answer:	If you have a really old 2-wire system, one that does NOT have modern solid state controls, then Ecobee won't work right off the shelf, even with their 2-3 wire power conversion module. These heating plants predate the 1980s and use "dry contact" thermostats. You can make it work if you install a 24v isolation relay. Ecobee outlines the procedure on their web site, but it takes some basic electrical wiring knowledge. I'm not sure if you can use the 2-wire conversion module with an isolation relay - it should be possible somehow or other. If you have a third wire running to the thermostat (it's often there) then you should use it to run 24V to the Ecobee, and ignore the conversion module.
Question:	Is there a provision to bypass the 'auto off' motion sensor so that my dogs don't suffer from the heat when I'm out
Answer:	Yes- you can disable the Smart Home/Away feature under the "Sensors" section of the interface, so that the thermostat will follow only the schedule/preset temperatures. In my case, I disabled it because I wanted the opposite functionality (I didn't want the system turning on if I stopped at home for a hour over lunch). Note that the "Follow Me" feature is a separate setting (found in the Sensors section as well) that allows the system to track where you are in the house and attempt to heat/cool that part of the house closer to your desired setpoint.
Question:	Does the main thermostat have a sensor for the first floor? Or is the white sensor needed for that floor? Is the black hub a sensor
Answer:	Main thermostat and white (remote) includes a temperature sensor and a motion sensor. First, you don't have to use the remote sensor. Second, if you use the remote sensor, the main sensor will combine the input of both (main and remote) temperature sensors and based on the amount of time spent in each area using the motion sensor. If motion is detected more near the main and less near the remote (as a %), then the main temperature will weigh heavier than the remote. As well, you do not need to use remotes and can be assigned to work during selected schedules only. It's quite amazing, but I haven't used them on my system yet. I figured I would learn the rest of the system before I introduced them.
Question:	is this a different model than the ecobee3 that is slightly less expensive? Also if wifi is out can you control it fully manually
Answer:	Yes, this is a different model then the ecobee3 lite. The ecobee will still be able to function as a thermostat and talk to the sensors, if your wifi goes out. You can still manually control your heating and cooling at your ecobee without wifi.

Answer:	Yes, but it must be configured to do so. If you see only "heat/cool/off" in the mode screen, then press "fan" and "up" simultaneously. When the screen changes, press "next" until you reach option 12. Setting "0" enables "heat/cool/off" in the mode screen, while setting"1" enables "heat/cool/auto/off." Setting "3" is "auto/off" only. When you press "done," your mode screen will show the option you selected. FYI: In "auto" mode, the "heat" temperature at any time must always be at least 3 degrees less than the "cool" temperature.

Answer:	I haven't notice any scratches. It has strong bristles but not that strong to scratch.
Question:	Can you use the temperature schedule on the unit, and also apple homekit geofencing to get the benefits of both rather than either or
Answer:	Yes, soap and water works well but for swrious cleaning I boil water in a pot deep enough to submerge the bristles and when I take the pot of water off the stove I soak the brush for several minutes. Depending on what you use the brush for, I'm sure bleach water works well too. It's a very durable brush.
Question:	What is difference between this thermostat and the white wifi version
Answer:	Personally, I wouldn't use it on microfiber, as it may damage the fabric.
Question:	Does this have the capability of showing me a temperature chart of the past 12 hrs
Answer:	My toothbrush is coarser than this brush , the bristles are very very short my hair brush would do a better job
