10 best carrier thermostat reset
A Carrier thermostat reset refers to the process of resetting a Carrier brand thermostat to its default settings. Carrier is a well-known manufacturer of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including thermostats. Resetting a thermostat can be necessary for various reasons, such as troubleshooting issues, recalibrating the thermostat, or restoring it to its original configuration. Here's what you need to know about resetting a Carrier thermostat:
Reasons for Resetting: There are several reasons why you might need to reset a Carrier thermostat, including:
Troubleshooting: If your thermostat is not functioning correctly or displaying errors, a reset can help diagnose and resolve the issue.
Configuration Changes: If you've made changes to the thermostat settings and want to revert to the default settings.
Recalibration: To recalibrate the thermostat's temperature readings and operation.
Resetting Process: The exact process for resetting a Carrier thermostat may vary depending on the model and features of your thermostat. However, here is a general guide for resetting most Carrier thermostats:
Locate the thermostat's control panel or interface. It may be on the wall or a portable unit.
Look for a reset button or a combination of buttons that need to be pressed simultaneously. The specific button combination can vary between models.
Press and hold the reset button(s) for a few seconds until you see the thermostat's display or indicator lights change, indicating that it has been reset.
Release the reset button(s) and wait for the thermostat to reboot. It will typically return to its default settings.
Factory Reset: Some Carrier thermostats may offer a factory reset option, which restores all settings to their original factory defaults. This can usually be done through the thermostat's menu or settings.
Consult the Manual: It's essential to consult the user manual or documentation that came with your specific Carrier thermostat model for precise instructions on how to reset it. The manual will provide detailed information on the reset procedure and any precautions you should take.
Note: Resetting a thermostat will erase any custom settings or programming you may have configured. Make sure to reprogram the thermostat to your desired settings after the reset.
Professional Assistance: If you're unsure about resetting your Carrier thermostat or encounter difficulties, consider seeking professional HVAC assistance. HVAC technicians can help with troubleshooting and resetting thermostats as needed.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it use the outdoor sensor for optimizing heat pump cycling |
Answer: | The only thing I can think of is to email the company and ask if they will sell you one |
Question: | The display pic doesnt show the outside temp ? If we dont buy the outside sensor, will the unit still work |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | can you operate system using a mobile app |
Answer: | The thickness is not published because the strength is not based on thickness, it is based upon engineering. For example, canopies from two different two companies can have the same thickness, but one is much stronger than the other due to how it is made. |
Question: | Is this thermostat compatible with an apple homepod for voice control i don't want google or alexa in my home |
Answer: | No, they are dumb lights that you have to manually turn on. You have to click a button to enable them, meaning I do not think you could put them on external timers. I am not sure how on the color temp, but they are bright. You have two LEDs, and you can theoretically make it look different by only turning on one of them - but you shouldn't expect many options for setting colors. However, if you want to add additional lights, I have four Phillips Play light bars in the hood above the tank, and these I have set for automatic lighting conditions. I then turn on the included lights (which are rough twice as bright as 4 Play bars) as well during the day. There is amble space if you want to put your own lights in addition to the included ones. |

User questions & answers
Question: | With the solar system, will Sense pick up and track the electricity that goes back to the public grid |
Answer: | Yes, it can detect through sheetrock, glass. As far as wood, it depends on the thickness. |
Question: | is there an API |
Answer: | I have not used it yet but the board is labeled but only slightly. If you look at the edge of the card where the harness in the picture on this product description, there is a + on the bottom pin and an O (IO) on the top pin. The White plastic harness covers the lettering up a bit. The center pin would be the gnd. This is a guess. |
Question: | Does it have an ethernet port, or is it just wifi |
Answer: | These sensors are actually omnidirectional. If anything, they are often a little too sensitive and respond to noise in the power supply. |
Question: | Since this is a cloud based service, what happens if, heaven forbid, the company goes belly up and closes? Since processing isn't in a local app |
Answer: | Below are some links I came across that helped me het the sensor working. https://github.com/jdesbonnet/RCWL-0516/issues/2 https://tech.scargill.net/microwave-for-the-weekend/ https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/issues/855 |

See What's Up, Know What's On.
This package bundles the Sense Home Energy Monitor with two additional current sensors to measure solar production. The Sense monitor analyzes changes in current and voltage one million times per second, giving you insights into your solar production and power consumption with unprecedented accuracy.
The Sense monitor connects to your home's Wi-Fi network and then reports your real-time and historical energy use and solar generation to your iOS/Android device and the Sense Web App, so you can compare overlayed graphs of your production to usage and ensure you're making the most of your solar investment.
Over time, Sense's machine learning algorithms identify unique signatures in the power use of individual devices within your home and match them against a growing database of appliances and home electronics. As devices are detected and revealed inside the app, you can name and categorize them, set custom notifications for when they turn on or off, analyze how efficient they are, and see what's going on at home when you aren't there. These detection capabilities continue to grow as more users install Sense in their homes and more device models become available, which means your Sense monitor will just keep recognizing more and more devices over the months and years to come!
Make the most of your solar investment.
Installed by a licensed electrician, usually in less than 30 minutes.
Cloud connection to web, iOS, and Android apps with no subscription fees!
How much are we saving with solar?
Are you using more power than you're generating? Are you scheduling your EV to charge when your solar outputs the highest? Sense gives you a powerful dashboard to monitor your power use and solar production in real time, with cost calculations built right in.

User questions & answers
Question: | My thermostat is only used for heating the house and only has 2 wires, a red and white. Can i still use this ecobee |
Answer: | If you have a really old 2-wire system, one that does NOT have modern solid state controls, then Ecobee won't work right off the shelf, even with their 2-3 wire power conversion module. These heating plants predate the 1980s and use "dry contact" thermostats. You can make it work if you install a 24v isolation relay. Ecobee outlines the procedure on their web site, but it takes some basic electrical wiring knowledge. I'm not sure if you can use the 2-wire conversion module with an isolation relay - it should be possible somehow or other. If you have a third wire running to the thermostat (it's often there) then you should use it to run 24V to the Ecobee, and ignore the conversion module. |
Question: | Is there a provision to bypass the 'auto off' motion sensor so that my dogs don't suffer from the heat when I'm out |
Answer: | Yes- you can disable the Smart Home/Away feature under the "Sensors" section of the interface, so that the thermostat will follow only the schedule/preset temperatures. In my case, I disabled it because I wanted the opposite functionality (I didn't want the system turning on if I stopped at home for a hour over lunch). Note that the "Follow Me" feature is a separate setting (found in the Sensors section as well) that allows the system to track where you are in the house and attempt to heat/cool that part of the house closer to your desired setpoint. |
Question: | Does the main thermostat have a sensor for the first floor? Or is the white sensor needed for that floor? Is the black hub a sensor |
Answer: | Main thermostat and white (remote) includes a temperature sensor and a motion sensor. First, you don't have to use the remote sensor. Second, if you use the remote sensor, the main sensor will combine the input of both (main and remote) temperature sensors and based on the amount of time spent in each area using the motion sensor. If motion is detected more near the main and less near the remote (as a %), then the main temperature will weigh heavier than the remote. As well, you do not need to use remotes and can be assigned to work during selected schedules only. It's quite amazing, but I haven't used them on my system yet. I figured I would learn the rest of the system before I introduced them. |
Question: | is this a different model than the ecobee3 that is slightly less expensive? Also if wifi is out can you control it fully manually |
Answer: | Yes, this is a different model then the ecobee3 lite. The ecobee will still be able to function as a thermostat and talk to the sensors, if your wifi goes out. You can still manually control your heating and cooling at your ecobee without wifi. |
Question: | Compatible with alexa? do i have to buy nexia bridge for it to work |
Answer: | For the thermostat alone, no nexia bridge is needed. |
Question: | Can you set Temperature limits on this thermostat |
Answer: | Yes you can. |
Question: | The connection key to setup wifi will not work so i am not able to connect it to wifi. anyone know the fix |
Answer: | Must use your phone and the app. |
Question: | Is this thermostat compatible with the xr624 connection |
Answer: | Yes, it is compatible. The XR724 replaces XL624. |

Answer: | Yes, soap and water works well but for swrious cleaning I boil water in a pot deep enough to submerge the bristles and when I take the pot of water off the stove I soak the brush for several minutes.
