Answer:	Pretty roomy. I had to pull out my ruler and check it. It's 11 3/4 X 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 inside (the 3 1/2 is probably a bit more but the foam on the bottom takes up some room). Be sure the dresser/nightstand is well made with solid lumber not particle board. Don't have well made furniture? Screw it to the floor in a quick and easy access point. The average home robbery takes a burglar less than a minute to break in and about 10 minutes to take what the can grab easily. The point is to make items of value difficult to be stolen. Work on layers of home protection. A fence, dog(s), outdoor motion alarms, entry points secured with good double locks and steel security doors, an alarm system with a local ear piercing alarm. With layers a would be burglar may be detoured and move on. Don't make it easy!
